Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser PC 151 Binaural Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone & Volume ControlCustomer Review: Great for people who ear glasses Summary: 5 Stars
I wore my brand new PC151 headset almost eight hours the first day I got them. I thought they might hurt my ears a lot because I wear glasses, but they didn't. I felt a little pressure after eight hours, but that's all; no outright pain like I have felt with other headsets. Admittedly, I have a smaller head than most men, but like I said, other headsets have caused me pain and this set did not.
I'm no audiophile, but for me, the sound is very good. I thought the bass might suffer, but it doesn't. Also, the fact that it's not "open" (like the PC161), the sound doesn't bother my co-workers in the cube farm when I crank the volume.
A good purchase in my opinion.
Customer Review: Great value Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second headset that I got to replace my land line for VOIP. I occasionally use it for chatting or on Teamspeak. So far I am very satisfied with it for the value. The sound is fantastic and the microphone works a lot better that my old set.
Pros:
Sennheiser quality sound
Great microphone quality
Comfortable and easy to wear for long periods
Cons:
A little wide across the top of the head - can fall forward/backward
Pricier than other brands
While this headset may be a little pricier than other models, its build quality is in line with that price and the sound quality both in and out is fantastic.
Customer Review: Great deal! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using the sennheiser 151 headset for over 6 years now. I've gone through 4 sets in that time (on my 4th now). I'm pretty rough on the units... with wires being ran over with my chair wheels... toddler chewing on my microphone, the ear muffs being physically busted from being stepped on.... various things that happen blah blah... My last unit actually still works great minus the physical damage my toddler and I did to it. I highly recommend this unit for media and gamming.
I can't believe I got a like new unit for under $30 shipped. These are high quality and I remember when they were around $100 new (and still up there on some places on the net).
Customer Review: Not as good Summary: 2 Stars
I'm writing this review because I wasn't satisfied with this headset. Don't be fooled by all these other good reviews. I just want to make sure that you will get a nice headset for yourself so that you don't regret buying.
1) it gets discomfort after wearing it for more than 1-2 hours because the earphones are just so small, it doesn't fit right over your ear so after wearing it for a while, you will start to feel the tension on your ears and you will not want to wear it any longer. The earphones sits right on your ear!
2) the microphone was horrible, can't really hear me when I was chatting
3) Don't get it because you will regret buying it.
Customer Review: Best headset I've ever owned Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned mine now for about a year. I've owned several different brands over the years. I use mine in flight combat simulators. This is, by far, the best I've ever experienced.
The sound is well balanced. Nice balance of base and treble tones. I can hear things clearly.
The microphone is crisp and clean. I've never had any complaints from others when I've used it in games. Always get compliments.
Love the inline volume control and on/off switch.
They are very light weight, the ear pieces are comfortable. I've worn mine for extended periods of time and sometimes don't remember I'm wearing them.
