My husband wanted this headset after reading reviews from other customers. He uses it with his laptop when he makes his long distance calls using Skype. He has some hearing loss, but with this headset, he can hear everyone clearly! Other people say that he sounds clear, too! When he listens to music on his boombox, he hears things he never heard before with his old headset. He says they are very comfortable and loves them! I ordered a pair for myself after trying them! My husband wants to order one of the Sennheiser wireless headsets next. We would recommend them highly! I ordered these headphones refurbished. I am extremely satisfied with them for the price I got. The cushioning on the top headband is great. The adjustable size parts don't slide around too much and tend to stay where they're told, which is really nice.
I haven't used the microphone much, but no one complains about it when I do. It works just fine.
I wear glasses, and I think one of the really important things for headphones is when you're wearing them for 4 hours - how will your ears feel afterward? For me, they feel just fine. Comfortable.
Also, I prefer the headsets that have two ports for headphones and microphone. I don't like the USB ones, although I couldn't really tell you why.
Overall - I like these headphones!

I bought these in May 2009 for an attempt at voice over recording for video productions. I have been purchasing Sennheiser (Germany) products for over 30 years. Remarkable sound reproduction from the headphones. Clear distinct bass, mid range and highs. Sennheiser's are the best I have heard though I confess I have never listened to music through a set of Bose headphones.
The boom microphone voice reproduction is not perfect, but acceptable. The limitations being heard on large powerful floor standing speakers. In normal every day use (gaming, computers, etc.) they are very good. For the price and the performance features indeed I would purchase another pair.
Amazon's shipping and customer service is great as always.

Well this is my 2nd pair, my dog ate my first one. I bought it over 2 months ago and I rarely used it except for music. When I finally started using it for gaming I noticed the Left/Right audio was switched. I verified it with the first pair and another pair of sennheiser headphones. Since I was out of the Amazon return period sennheiser wanted me to pay to mail it in, and possibly wait 2 weeks for a refurb. Luckily amazon extended their return policy for me after I explained the situation, and offered to pay for shipping PROPS to Amazon's customer service.
tl;dr Buyer beware bad batch and expectation from sennheiser to mail it back in and get a refurb in return. Test the set for Left/Right orientation as soon as you get it.

The good: I have had this headset for about two months now. It delivers great sound quality. I use it to make calls over the internet. Sound's quality on both ends of the line is great. I also use it to listen to music. It has helped me realize that 'what separates good music from great music is a good headset!!' The inline volume control & mute function comes in handy.
The bad: It feels a bit warm on the ears with all that padding, no major discomfort though.
The Bottom Line: It's a well-designed, well-built headset with distinctive sound quality. It's a value bargain; you get what you pay for in full. It doesn't look nor feel cheap. I would recommend it to a friend with confidence.
