Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sennheiser PC 151 Binaural Headset with Noise-Canceling Microphone & Volume ControlCustomer Review: Comfort level disappointing Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this set of earphones in part because of what other reviewers had said about the level of comfort they offer. I am familiar with the brand and was confident that the quality of the sound and microphone would be good, which they appear to be, but unfortunately the set is really not as comfortable as I was expecting. I am disappointed. The ear pads aren't very soft, or very large, and another problem is that the ear band is not adjustable enough -- my little boy can usually use other pairs, but this one remains too large for him. When I wear them, I am constantly aware of the pressure on my ears. My Logitech set that I was replacing was REALLY comfortable, with such comfortable ear pads that it was no problem to listen to music, or films, or talk on Skype, or dictate, for as long as I liked, with no discomfort. Unfortunately, I can no longer find that Logitech set in stock anywhere!
Customer Review: Nice Sound Quality But Too Big and Heavy Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased the headphones after reviewing the feedback on on Amazon. I was inbetween this pair and something from Logitech. I decided on this pair because other reviews said they were made better and I honestly trusted to name a bit more. I liked the sound quality and the microphone seemed to work well based on feedback from the people I was talking with on Skype. However, the headphones are pretty heavy and they do not adjust to be small enough to fit my head. I am fairly petite so maybe these headphones might work better for a larger person or someone who wears beanies, etc. while using the headphones. They don't have much adjustment and not only were they too tall, but too wide. I gave them to my in-laws who needed a pair. They are pretty happy with them so I guess it just depends on your comfort level with heavy headphones. If they had been a bit smaller I would have kept them.
Customer Review: Excellent headset Summary: 4 Stars
I've gone through 3 different headsets before this one mostly from Logitech. Each one took a while to get used to as well as find a comfort level since they were behind the neck style headsets. This headset is the first over the head headset I've had and it's incredibly comfortable straight out of the box. The sound in the headphones is excellent. I play a lot online and use Ventrillo. The sound quality from the mic is excellent. I think I've found my headset finally. Now hopefully, my cat won't eat this one.
[Update]
Still have this headset and love it. It was well worth the price I paid for it. It has proven to be a sturdy little thing as well. I can't count how many times I've nearly sat on this. The noise cancellation is superb. My poor husband has to resort to tossing paper clips at me to get my attention when I'm playing or listening to music.
Customer Review: Great headset Summary: 4 Stars
The PC 151 is a good headset. It has a great microphone, and good audio quality.I'm using this headset with VOIP, as well as Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Overall this is a good headset for the money. If you're buying this headset to listen music or other audio, you might want to consider another Sennheiser headset. I have both the PC 151 and the EH 150 the EH 150 has better audio quality as compared to the PC 151 but the EH 150 does not include a microphone. The PC 151 has passable audio quality for music and videos, however the EH 150 does have somewhat better audio quality. Overall if you care about audio quality and don't need a microphone, buy the EH 150 or another Sennheiser headset, but if you are going to use the headset for voice conferencing or gaming, this is great headset to purchase.
Overall I would recommend the PC 151 headset.
Customer Review: Senn knows how to make some delicate headsets Summary: 2 Stars
I would just like to say that I had these for about 1 month until this headset broke. When they worked, they were very charming and I really appreciated the rich sound. As another reviewer pointed out, these guyz are hot on the ears. I would probably only use this headset for the occasional game of counterstrike and wear some better quality headphones with more breating room for regular listening and gaming.
The fantastic sound that these make in mind, my headphones broke remarkably easy. Personally, I am in my latter teens and I am pretty careful of my gaming equipment. I can imagine someone less careful than me having a far less time span of this headset.
The cord is undeniably too small and thin, that is all there really is to say. I would invest in a higher quality Senn product because they make great sound.
