Customer Review: Good not great
Summary: 3 Stars

I run outdoors, year round, in northern Utah with my trusty iPod. I have been plagued with my original Apple earbuds falling out when I run, especially when the weather turns cold. Having read the reviews for the Sennheiser MX75 "twist-to-fit" headphones, and noticing they are billed as "sport" headphones, I thought I would give them a try. For some reason the headphone for the left ear - the one with the short cord - tends to fall out in the first mile or so. So far it has eventually settled in, and we make it through the run OK. Why the cord is so much shorter for the one side is a mystery - and unhelpful. The "twist-to-fit" thing is hard to figure out. No written instructions beyond a sketchy diagram ship with the headphones, so I'm left to wonder if I'm missing something about actually wearing them. But then, the headphone for the right ear stays put without any special effort. Frustrating, to say the least. Regarding the sound, I'm quite satisfied. That being said, I'm no audiophile and besides, I'm running with plenty of ambient noise all about me, so my needs don't really go much beyond being able to hear the music and the headphones staying put.

Customer Review: Best workout/exercise headphones EVER!
Summary: 5 Stars

That's not hyperbole, I've tried many different brands (2 kinds of Apple earphones, 2 models of Sony, Nike, even the Shure E3c)...as an avid recreational athlete (triathlon/cycling/running primarily...but also weight training/hiking)these headphones hit the "sweet spot" of very good sound/durability/water & sweat resistance/comfort/staying put while you excercise! I am a profuse sweater, and the Sennheisers were the only headphones to handle all the sweat/bounce of heavy endurance athletics with NO problems whatsoever.

The Twist-to-fit system worked just as advertised (once you have the right size pads fitted), and I found the provided alligator clip very handy. As an example of how good these little guys are: I recently completed the Portland Marathon wearing them...and I didn't have to adjust/futz/worry about them at ALL. I can't give them ALL the credit...but I did qualify for Boston!!
Yeah, the "safety green" color is obnoxious (but you won't worry about losing track of them!) and the sound quality isn't as top-notch as the Shures (but they're $200 less!, but I think they're the best "sport" class headphones out there!

Customer Review: Would not recommend
Summary: 1 Stars

I am a runner and bought these to combat common problems like headphones coming loose while, cord vibration from wind, etc. They do a good job of staying in place while you run. That is good. However, I have had a lot of problems. First, in the 'snug' position, where they would not move around while I ran, the sound from each headphone was quite different. I could adjust their position to sound the same, but then the adjusted headphone would not stay in place. The pads come loose very easily as well. I never lost one, bought that was more luck than anything else. The cord is a freaking nightmare to deal with, and untangling it is a recurring 1-2 minute tax you pay every time you use these headphones. The plug on the headphones can also make it hard to use them with some armbands, like the Nike one designed to work with the Nike+iPod sensor.

Finally, but most importantly, these headphones did not last for me. I had them just over a year when I suddenly got an electric shock from them while running. The cover over the speaker on the right headphone had come lose, resulting in exposed electric wire coming into contact with my ear.

Customer Review: if you lose pieces?
Summary: 4 Stars

My biggest gripe was the padded piece that locks into your ear fell off. I just had the sinking feeling, I'll be walking/running around in a few weeks with earphone that won't stay in or hurt my ears cause the padding is gone. I would buy the back of the head wrap around or over the ears if I had to buy another pair. The case isn't to practical either. It has a magnetic closure on top and would make a good coin purse for a kid if it closed completly, but it doesn't. I find my self wraping it around my mp3 player and placing it in my pocket where I run into loosing the padding.

Now that I spit out my vinegar. The sound is awesome very crisp and clean and that is why I gave it a high score. I think if you are organized and can keep them from getting tangled by putting them away properly anyone will enjoy these earphone.

However if you wad them up put in your pocket. You may want to consider a more durable design. I would challenge the manufactuer to come up with a design for a case that is more practical and keeps the cords from getting tangled. But I guess thats everybodies problem till the industry goes cordless.

Customer Review: comfortable headphones with a twist...
Summary: 4 Stars

I guess I have sensitive ears because normal earphones always seem to physically hurt my ears (not because of the sound, because of the fit). I've been searching for the perfect, comfortable and non-bulky headphones to use at the gym. This is the closest I've come to finding them so far. The way they fit into your ears is hard to explain but here goes... They use a unique twist system and two "plugs" on each side to fit into your ear as well as over another ridge in your ear so that they hold in tightly. Sounds uncomfortable but really it's not! They come with several different sizes so that no matter how big or small your ears are (unless your nickname is Dumbo)they are bound to fit. The sound is great and the crazy neon green actually matches my gym bag and my gym shoes. Though they are pretty comfortable they are not the ULTIMATE in comfort that I've been in search of for years. I am happier with these than I've been with any others though (and I've gone through quite a few pairs that didn't make it a week before being retired due to discomfort)so until I find the holy grail in comfortable headphones I'm very happy with these!
