Customer Review: Would buy these again !
Summary: 5 Stars

1)Compared to other headphones/ear-buds these put out less power on the same sound settings of the output device so you have to crank the volume dial a bit more but claims that these are not loud enough are exaggerated. When you crank the volume all the way up, you won't be able to hear car horn 10ft away from you. I listen to music for hours @ 10-20% output power and it is sufficient by all means and I don't see why somebody without hearing loss would want to listen to music much louder for extended periods of time.

2)There are more areas where these headphones come short (most noticeable is bass) but it is absurd to compare ~20$ headphones with +100$ headphones. If you are audiophile and have high standards, please consider spending 4x-5x $ since the difference is noticeable. However, if you just want to enjoy listening to your music and are looking for everyday headphones with VERY DECENT sound throughout the entire power spectrum without spending lot of money, this might suite your needs very well. It did it for me.

3)Yes these are made of plastic, but you will put it on your head and listen to music ... how much durability does that take? Issues could rise when you travel a lot. And this is my ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT, they don't fold up.

4/14/2011 edit:I have point out that I listen to music in home/office settings, they are not very good at eliminating the noise so outdoors you either put up with too noise disturbing your listening, or you crank up the volume and risk permanent hearing damage.

Verdict:
Yes you can get better headphones, but not for the same price! If they folded nicely, I would be 100% satisfied with them. Hope this helped.

Customer Review: Worth it for the Price - Not for Audiophiles
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased these headphones, because I needed something to use for long periods of time on the computer. The sound quality is fair, but you're going to get some crackling on occasion and if you have an ear in mind for music specifically they're not top of the line headphones (a Sony is probably going to give you better sound quality - though I bought these since my Sony's broke after a month).

But overall, these headphones are really comfortable, I can wear them for up to six hours with no discomfort as they go around the ears, instead of sitting on them. This is extremely important when it comes to comfort for headphones. The padding on top of the strap is also an extra comfort, and there was no real issue with them in that area.

The two problems I had with the Sennheiser HD201 Headphones was the sound quality (which I couldn't complain for the price, as it was decent), and the cord. The cord is ridiculously long and doesn't come with anything to wrap it up. I can watch TV across the room and still have plenty of give on this cord. A plus for when I want to watch TV in bed, but it makes it next to impossible to use this for my mp3 player.

Another issue is that where the cord splits is a little too close to my neck for my liking, giving no option to adjust.

Basically for the price, if you're looking for something comfortable to wear for long periods of time, with decent audio sound, and are interested in a really long cord - it's worth the price.

If you want something for music specifically, with a shorter cord, and no crackling (it's rare, but annoying when it happens), you probably want to look into something else - but it'll cost you.

Customer Review: Alright but 202s are a better choice.
Summary: 2 Stars

I previously owned some Sennheiser HD202 headphones which I loved but after those went out in one ear after about 9 months I searched for a replacement. I bought some koss ones which were more expensive but beautiful and great sound quality, great for home use. However, as much as everyone hates the leatherette and cheap plastic, the 202s that I was used to were much lighter and more portable which is what I wanted, something that could travel with me. Also the idea of having anything too expensive on your person all the time strikes me as tempting fate. I looked to Sennheiser. The first time I put these on I knew that I didn't like them as much. They were uncomfortable, which to be fair I mostly got used to but the cups don't swivel the way they do on the 202s making them rather uncomfortable to wear around your neck. These are personal complaints but what surprised me was how poor the sound quality was. Again maybe this is a function of what I'm comparing them to but the sound is much flatter than expected, much less bass, and doesn't get as loud. Don't get me wrong me wrong, they're ok, better than the buds that come with your ipod anyway, I used them. Anyway after about 5 months the right side is cutting out which I'm not angry about, at this price point, and the way I abuse headphones I expect them to be somewhat ephemeral. I could get them fixed but then I'd have to find a receipt and mail all this stuff in and wait and yada, yada, yada. I didn't like them that much anyway. I think I'm just going to buy some new HD202s. If you're in the market for some Sennheisers you probably should to. Spend the extra ten bucks. You'll be glad you did.

Customer Review: Great pair of headphones at a great price!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought these headphones after looking at some noise canceling ones as well as a few others that were similar to this. I bought this pair because of good reviews from amazon as well as from a headphones site.

These headphones sounds great! There is rich bass and the sound is full. It sounds just as good as a my speakers I have hooked up to my computer with a subwoofer. I plugged in these headphones and then put in the ipod speakers and these are a million times better. The only thing that I like about the ipod speakers is how small and convenient they are. Thus for short trips, working out at the gym or walking around campus, I probably will continue to use the white ipod earbuds. But when I go on longer trips, on flights, and even in my room when I can't have sound because of my roommate, I will use these headphones.

They are comfortable as well. I have a pretty normal sized-big head and they fit well. As far as the guy who says they didn't fit his head, I don't see how that is possible. This is because you can adjust the headphones by pulling them out. So unless he has a really small head, one on which the headphones wouldn't reach his ears, then I don't know how they couldn't fit him.

Oh and if you are looking for a pair of headphones that blocks out background noise, these will do the trick. I asked my roommate to talk and make noises and I could barely here him if at all! So on an airplane, I would imagine these would be perfect.

All in all, these are a great pair of headphones and at a price of less than 20 dollars, they are a great deal!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Customer Review: Good buy for the price
Summary: 4 Stars

When I bought this product, I was looking for a simple headphone that would work at home, block out the relatively little noise, and cost minimal money. They definitely did that, but there were some issues.

When I found these headphones online and they were $20, I decided it was probably worth it to get them, even though they might be cheap and worthless. However, they worked well for what I wanted them for, listening to my iPod while sitting at home doing homework. They seemed fairly durable, so I figured packing them into a backpack or duffel bag wouldn't be a problem.

About four months after I got the headphones, I discovered that one of the earpieces had snapped off of the headband. I was able to glue it back on, but it was a pain. However, the headphones worked surprisingly well for a $20 pair and were comfortable, loud enough, and I still think it was a good buy. I have purchased $30 and $40 headphones that haven't lasted as long as these, and weren't nearly as good.

Overall, the product works great, but should not be taken away from one spot. I recommend buying two or more pair and leaving one pair at each location where it might be used (e.g. leave one at home and one at school).

Pros: Sound quality is very good, Extremely comfortable, Lightweight

Cons: Noise Reducing doesn't work well, Not durable, Cord too long (I used a rubber band to bunch the cord up)

Ratings (out of 5):

Sound Quality: 4.5

Noise Reduction: 2.5

Comfort: 5

Portability (Non-Bulkiness): 4.5

Durability: 2
