Customer Review: Good, but not impressive
Summary: 4 Stars

Bass: I am not impressed. I saw a lot of reviews and the product description itself praise for the bass. However, I hear no difference comparing with the cheap headphones. I tried with 5Hz through 200 Hz sound files. At 40-50 Hz, the bass sounded OK, at 30 it sounded decent but below that I heard no bass at all (from 15-25Hz, there was respond, but not bass).

Sound Quality: I sounds good. I am no audio expert so it's the only thing I can say. But, I am not impressed at all. It sounds like a $30-50 headphones. That just it.

Burn In:If someone say "burn-it", I'll say that it won't make anything difference for this headphone. I ran movies, music, game and, pink noise for a decent of time, and the sound quality change little.

Cord: The long cord is nice, I may need it some day, so it is a plus. The cord holder is a little bit big, but it makes sense since the cord is very long.

Durability: I don't know. I bought it last week. I'll edit the post when the headphones break, if I have time.

Price: Almost a steal. You won't find many headphones for $24 that works, let alone a pair that sounds good. I haven't tried the HD201 yet. it is $15,sounds too cheap, I don't want to buy one at that price. Oh, yeah, and 2 years warranty for a headphones at $24 that works. It sounds amazing for me. So definitely a buy.

Comfortableness: It IS small. If you have a big head, you may have problem. The ear cups are small too. Otherwise, it is well-designed and comfortable.

Final words: Don't buy this if you read the reviews and expect a "wow" when you listen to it. DO buy it if you want a pair of headphones that is really cheap, sounds good, has 2 year of warranty from a well-known headphones manufacturer.

Customer Review: Great Headphones for the Price
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm no crazy audiophile by any means, but I'd like to think that I have a pretty good range on audio levels and outputs for different headphones, speakers, etc.

The sound dampening is fairly decent although it's nowhere near Bose quality (where you can be inside of a Sam's Club and think you're in a bookstore) but it does dampen quite a bit of noise. When wearing them, I can only slightly hear my own voice talking at normal levels and when sitting in my washroom with the dryer going, I could hear them behind me through my music, but with more volume it dies down a bit; so that gives you a bit of an idea to their sound dampening quality.

They are quite comfortable for use, but I haven't worn them longer than an hour so I can't attest to long term use. And the cord is quite long (I actually have to tie back the leftover wire to avoid tripping on it) so that's always a plus.

As to the actual sound quality, these headphones pack a great punch. I watch alot of movies on my laptop and initially was getting alot of booming noise in every film, but after adjusting the output, each movie sounded clearer than I had ever heard it before. The headphones don't require you to blast out your volume to hear everything, which is absolutely great for me.

I also tested them out on my Creative MP3 player. The headphones also read alot of bass in alot of the songs, but this can be adjusted depending on your MP3 player. If you don't have the option to adjust, they run still fine, just a little louder than you would be used to with earbuds.

All in all I think these are a great pair of headphones for the price. If you're looking for some pretty decent noise cancellation on a smaller budget, I'd definitely reccommend the Sennheiser's.

Customer Review: Very VERY Good headphones, especially for the price.
Summary: 5 Stars

Keep in mind, this is my first set of headphones above $10; my tastes in sound quality aren't the most finicky around. While I'm pleased with everything about these headphones, others may have some complaints.

Sound Quality - 10/10
There's always some way you can improve on the sound quality, but factoring in price, this is truly an amazing set of headphones. I can't really find anything wrong with it...I especially like the way the sound travels from the right to left ear, giving you the sensation that you are truly immersed in the music. It's kind of hard to describe, but its an enjoyable feeling. No complaints here.
Comfort - 9/10
The leather(ette?) padding is extremely comfortable. The cushy material on the earcups and headband keeps you from experiencing any pain after extended use (I haven't listened to these for more than one hour though). Some people have complained that it's too small. My ears fit completely inside the earcups; they seemed kind of large, but not too bulky... Apart from a slightly warm and pressured feeling on the ears (which , as another reviewer stated, is actually fairly pleasant) the phones are perfectly comfortable.
Durabilty - ???
I haven't had these for too long (a few weeks) but so far, I've experienced no problems whatsoever.
Overall-9.5
If you want comfort and sound without breaking your budget, (or if you're just tired of the cheap airline headphones) take a good look at these headphones; you won't find much better for the price.
-Note-
The headphones came with a little wind-up cord belt-clip. I don't know if that was in the description. Also, I have to hand it to Sennheiser for great packaging. I easily opened it with my fingers, no scissors needed.

Customer Review: A Great Product, worth much more than $50
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had these headphones for about a year now, and I love them. I mainly use them as I commute to school on the train, and I almost never have to turn the volume up above 25%, even for quiet songs; even though they aren't sound canceling. They do a fairly good job of blocking sound, reducing the need to turn the volume up high. In quiet rooms the bass is very nice to listen to, although with the background noise from the train it is difficult to hear.
PORTABILITY As I said before, i take these to school with me on the train. They are rather large to transport in a backpack, and cannot fold any smaller. However, an extremely nice feature which I discovered by accident, is that the ear pieces pop out of the head piece. This makes them very hard to break. Long before enough force is used to break the headphones, the pieces pop apart into three pieces, and thus flatten out to reduce risk of breaking. They are extremely easy to snap back together, and work fine afterwards. I have had the headphones pop out more than 10 times, and it's perfectly fine.
They are comfortable to wear, and produce good sound quality at low volumes so no need to hurt your ears. I also have worn these in rooms with people talking, and on 10% volume I barely hear the voices around me. All this for under $50 is an amazing deal. I admit I have never used very expensive headphones, but beyond adding sound canceling technology and a touch more bass, I can't imagine why anyone would bother to buy anything else.
The cord is also very long, but this is an inconvenience I simply tied the excess in a knot and it doesn't get in the way, and is there when I need it.

I would buy these headphones for everyone I know, and feel good about the purchases.

Customer Review: Fantastic value to quality ratio
Summary: 4 Stars

Bought these after reading numerous reviews based on the positive comments about the sound quality for the price. Was looking for a set of good quality over-the-ear noise-reducing headphones that I could wear at work and travel -- ones I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg for.

These definitely deliver in terms of the quality -- I'm no audiophile, but listen to a broad range of music and music styles, and find these headphones to deliver consistent quality sound with great clarity in all ranges.

Despite not being true noise-cancelling headphones (they do not employ Active Noise Control or other similar destructive interference technology) they are very good at muffling out ambient noise -- while noise doesn't completely disappear, they do effectively block the loud chatter that goes on around me at work -- the primary reason I got these headphones.

Some drawbacks:

Like others, I initially thought that these would truly be "over-the-ear" -- they rest on TOP of your ears, however, and do cause your ears to get warm over extended periods of use, but not excessively so. Despite this, I found that they provided very good comfort, even over hours of use, and I did not experience pain from fit as others might have. The ear pad portions are slightly adjustable, which helps.

NB: These headphones did NOT come with a wind-up belt-clip as advertised on the detail page. The cords are very long, which is convenient, but could definitely use the further convenience of a self-retracting or wind-up belt-clip for travel use.

Otherwise, am so far very pleased with the great quality these deliver without a high ticket price. A great set of headphones for a very reasonable price.
