Customer Review: very nice
Summary: 5 Stars

I am very glad that I got these headphones because:
1. They are very comfortable contrary to some other opinions. My head is normal, not small and yet they fit weel.
2. They isolate the noise from outside. Sometimes I would wear them in my office without any music just to be able to have some quiet time.
3. They have a very good sound. I was alittle woried that many people perceive good sound to be anything better then those clock-radios for waking up, but these headphones are really great for the price.
4. We use them all the time. My partner listens movies, music and news with them from from the TV and the computer at night, so he really appreciates the lenght of the wire. I use them during the day with my MP3 player while biking, travelling, exercising, or in my office on the computer, so for me the wire is a little bit too long.
The only complain that I have is that the wire seems very thin and fragile. You may find them a little too bulky to carry them arround, but that is the price for having the strenghts above. I stronglly recomend them for home and office and for anyone who likes good music and does not mind their size for outdoors.

Customer Review: Impressive.

A while back, I decided I wanted to actually get a pair of decent headphones for once. Being my first pair, I did a fair bit of research before settling on this Sennheiser rather than a pair of in-ear buds. The sound is decent out of the box, but as I begin to listen to a wider range of my music with these, and the phones are broken in, they are starting to sound very good indeed. Subtleties in songs are popping out like never before, and the vocals sound rich. For more upbeat songs the bass is quite good. Granted, I don't have much to compare to(aside from the standard iPod fare) but for anyone like me I assure you this is a HUGE step up from standard buds. Also, sound isolation is decent but its not like it blocks out all sound completely.

There are problems, though. The cord is 10 feet long, which is a bit much for a user like me. I would have preferred larger cups that cover the whole ear, but the emphasis how uncomfortable these phones are is lost on me. They feel fine.

Bottom line, these are a great pair of headphones for the casual listener, as long as you're willing to take the risk that your head won't be the right shape for it.

Customer Review: Awesome!

I'll state up front that I am no audiophile, but I love music and I am pretty picky about how my music sounds. I ordered these so I can listen to some of my "parental advisory labeled" songs at work :) and let me tell you, for the price you'd be hard-pressed to do better. The sound is just awesome, I can't even find the right adjectives to describe it. Rich, full, textured, deep, etc. etc. You get the idea. I could pick up tiny details and even flaws in the music. I also found them to be very comfortable once I got them properly adjusted, but I will also say that I'm a girl, and my ears and head are probably smaller than a lot of guys' ears. I get headaches from anything that clamps my head too much or is too heavy, which is a problem with a lot of headphones. The EH-150s are light and rest on the head without being too tight, which is a huge plus for me.
Overall I would say they are totally worth what you are going to pay for them. To get much better than this, you'd have to go up considerably in price, and hey, some of us have other things to spend money on besides a $500 pair of headphones - like actual music to listen to. :) Get these cans!

Customer Review: AWESOME HEADPHONES!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just went on a headphone escapade looking for a good pair of headphones.

My search started with Philips Noise Cancelling HN110. I didn't really find that the NC did much except raise the volume a little bit. So I returned them to spend my money on a really good pair of regular headphones.

Then I tried 3 pairs -- Sony MDR XD200. Those look huge (which is why I bought them) but the sound is surprisingly bad. The cans cover your ears but let way too much sound through - it's like not having your ears enclosed at all. Also, the sound was faint and not that loud.

The second pair were the Sony MDR V150. These are actually really good headphones. It was a really close call between these and the Sennheisers. However after many comparisons on different styles of music, the Sennheisers were the clear choice.

These are a great bang for the buck. I'm extremely happy with them. They cover the ears and actually block out a decent amount of noise -- just like the NC Philips. Also they are really comfortable. The ear pieces swivel slightly and move up and down to adjust. Get these - you won't be disappointed.

Customer Review: average sound waaaayy toooo tight
Summary: 3 Stars

Granted, I am very sensitive to how stuff feels -- that said, I am very a average sized woman with medium sized ears, and these squeeze my head. The actual ear cups are small also. It seems like they were designed to fit comfortably on a fine boned small woman only, and people who are not very sensitive.

Second, the sound is nothing special. I am not a musician in any way shape or form - so I don't know the correct technical terms, but here goes: The sound is not particularly clear, and you can't hear alot of the more subtle sounds. I listen to alot of music which has many different instruments, and voices overlapped, etc. and you really can't hear much separation. Maybe this is just what you get for $30?? My last headphones (which were much more expensive) had alot more range (they were the Sennheiser RS-110 Wireless), which broke after being dropped a bunch of times)

On the Pro side, they DO block out a great deal of ambient noise.

Soooo, I would say if you are a person with a small head, who doesn't mind mediocre sound quality, and doesn't want to spend alot on headphones, these are perfect for you.
