Customer Review: It's the Ears
Summary: 3 Stars

I ordered this product expecting active noise reducing headphones. I was disappointed to see that there was no active noise reduction. The Amazon product description said, "The noise-dampening function also makes the EH-150 a great choice for airplane, train, or bus travel". What noise dampening function? I will say the sound quality of the headphones is very good. I don't feel that the headphones are unduly tight but regarding the complains about the earpieces, I totally agree! I find them very uncomfortable. I like headphones that fit totally over the ears. These don't fit totally over the ears or totally on the ears. I find the fit very irritating and keep reaching up trying to adjust the ear pieces to make them more comfortable. I can see how they would hurt the ears after wearing them for a while, especially if you wear glasses, which I do to read. It's too bad Sennheiser didn't make the ear pieces just a little larger. I like the sound but would have bought something different if I had known about the fit.

Customer Review: Great sound and durability
Summary: 5 Stars

These headphones are an excellent value. I've had them for four years, using them for music and video on my laptop and more recently for music and audiobooks on my iPhone.

I usually keep them on the couch, where they are frequently sat on and squished under the pillows. Even with this abuse, they are still in great condition after four years. The only sign of years of use is that the thin, soft covering on the headband is just beginning to split.

The only negative I've experienced is that they can get uncomfortable on my ears, but even that is only after wearing them for a couple hours, which I don't often do. I would expect any headphones at this price to begin to get a little annoying to wear after that much time.

I'm not an expert audiophile, but I'm not oblivious to sound quality either, as I'm always adjusting my husband's car stereo for problems he doesn't even hear. These headphones sound great to me.

Overall, a great value for sound and durability.

Customer Review: Great Headphone if you don't mind looking funny.
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased these headphones not long ago at all. They arrived to my work extremely fast. I tried them out, I expected the bass to be more sufficient for my taste, it`s alright though better than what I use to have. It doesn't completely cancel sound out ,but it does a pretty good job. I used them on my HP Laptop, and Sony PSP so far, and no problems everything is great. I have a small head, and small ears so them being tight or whatever doesn't really bother my head. Though I did have them on for 2 hours at one time and my ears did hurt little bit, I just took them off rubbed my ears for a minute then put them back on, and everything was fine. I enjoy having a good personal appearance, but wearing these babies kind of makes you look funny. I walk to work in the city, I feel little embarrassed, but not to a point where I won't wear them in public. I over-all give these 4 out 5 starts just because they are not the perfect pair of headphones for me, but they will get the job done for now.

Customer Review: Really good but not perfect
Summary: 4 Stars

I may not be a true audiophile, but I'm close. I'm quite picky with my audio in general. More so than a lot of people. So here are a few points about these headphones.

1. Highly comfortable. No complaints here.

2. Long cord is very nice touch.

3. They have decent mids and handle bass well. They do have limitations on how much bass they can handle without bottoming out though. Of course no headphone can handle real low, loud bass due to their smallish driver.

4. The highs. Well, the highs are lacking a fair bit. I find myself over-compensating the upper ranges to get them to come through well. Don't get me wrong, they are okay, but that's just it, okay.

So overall, considering the price point, I give them a 4 (really 3.5 but I rounded up). There really isn't another pair that I can recommend over these for the same money. I'm satisfied with my purchase, but when they die, I will probably buy something else.

Customer Review: They're allright, not great.

I bought some AKG headphones and these from Amazon the same time. I was much more impressed with the AKG's. I don't care for the isolation type headphones, though you might if you like loud thumping bass, but to me the bass is overpowering, and muddies up the sound. YOu get a REAL long cord with these, which makes it a little impractical for listening to your Ipod. Maybe these are meant to stay in the studio, although they do come with a 1/8" ipod size jack. which is puzzling. Another downside is they are not that comfortable. The spring mechanism that keeps them against your ears is a one piece plastic design, so there is no way to ever adjust the tension, and I would think if you have a big head you're in trouble, LOL! They get a little uncomfortable after a couple hours for me, and my head is perfect sized (wink, wink). Overall, though, I would say they are well worth the cheap price if you are into the closed ear type headphones and want that cavernous thumping bass sound!
