I found everything that was needed to install this second SATA drive in my new PC. The drive came with all the cables that were needed as well as the software to enable it. One died after 4 months, RMA'ed it for the same model. The second one died after 7 months.
I would AVOID SEAGATE. The drive is NOT quiet at all.
Compared to WD, Seagate is [...]. I took a chance with Seagate after owning mostly WD and Maxtor drives. This was a horrible decision.

This drive works great and was very easy to install. I was a little disappointed with how loud it is when accessing data - it can compete with my iTunes music late at night. I have a feeling that most of the larger capacity drives will have these noise issues though. I still recommend it.Customer Review: lots of room

I had not upgraded my hard drive in a long time now.
got this one and all i can say is wow.
loads of room to spare.
like some of the other reviews i have read it is a little loud.
but if i had it to do again it would be a no brainer i would buy this one again.

Seagate drives are usually high quality, and I have no reason to think that this one isn't, but it is quite noisy, and at a high frequency that really irritates me. It's so maddening that I'm considering unplugging the drive, and only reconnecting it once a month for backups.
