Customer Review: A great traveling piece for my nano

Always wanted a nice charger/transmitter for my nano. I have been using a type of charger that uses AAA batteries for a LONG time... hated it.
So finally I found this piece. Although some people don't like it much, I love it since i used it.
Also it hasn't been interfered by other things. Like my old "battery" one will produce noises if i pass by an intersection or even just by a truck.
I usually just leave this charger along with my nano in the car everyday.
and with the remote control, it makes everything much easier and safe to drive as well.
well, this ipod charger ... i just simply love it ! =D

I ordered this over the weekend and had it by Tuesday. I was so excited to find this as I have an older car that I did not want to invest money in a new stereo. I had read horror stories regarding fm transmitters but liked what I read here and went for it. I am glad I did. Love not having to bring cd's all over and be able to listen to my audiobooks while I drive.
Very easy to connect and use. I get very little static if at all. Still trying to figure out remote - can use it to turn on/off unit but have to figure out for ipod but haven't had time and not safe to do while driving - just as easy to switch on actual ipod itself.

I was not impressed with this product at all. It made all the songs on my iPod Touch 2G sound like an out of tune radio station, no matter what frequency I had it set to. The remote works if you point it directly at the unit, otherwise it doesn't, and the gear that's supposed to prevent the unit from tilting, doesn't. The part that is inserted into the cigarette lighter was broken out of the box, and the whole thing felt clunky. I returned it, and the customer service was pretty good.
I'm really surprised at how many good ratings this thing got. Maybe most people don't mind static, and distorted highs when listening to music?

I bought this transmitter as a Christmas present, and it is the best gift anybody with an ipod can get. The transmitter looks good, it is easy to use, and it is not small but perfect for an ipod touch or classic ipod because it holds the weight fine. Not only for ipod but also for any other kind of mp3 player. Not only that but it also allows you to connect your laptop thru the headset output to it and it sounds great. perfect for movies. The remote control is very good and allows you to navigate the menu of the ipod touch (something you can't do with the Mac remote). overall it is the best transmitter I have seen and the price is great too.Customer Review: Great customer service, great product

Got this to replace a similar unit made by Belkin. This one was not only less expensive than the Belkin, it is WAY better. The signal is much stronger. With the Belkin I would have to change to a new frequency very often on drives as we came in and out of range of nearby radio stations. The Satechi only loses out to a radio station if it is a REALLY strong station. It sounds good and is easy to put in and out of the car, and it's easy to get the Ipod on and off. We can use it in all three of our vehicles with no problems. Satechi even sent me an email about a week after the item was delivered, just to make sure I got it ok. I was impressed.
