Customer Review: Solid, cheap, and great web resources

Just a quick note -- other reviewers have covered most of it. It's a solidly built piece of work at a much lower price than anywhere else. The instruction manual is a bit sparse but it is easy enough to figure out how to proceed by looking at the illustrations. If you're concerned that you might have problems understanding the directions you can preview the product manual (PDF) on Sanus's website under the support menu dropdown.
I did want to mention the other resources on [...] -- they have a mount finder which will match your exact TV model to a mount (so no guessing) and a height calculator to determine where on the wall to drill your mount holes based on TV model and desired viewing height. I found the tools to be very helpful and installation took less than an hour to complete.
I did not have any problem with the lag screws and they seemed solid to me but if you are concerned pick up 4 from your local builders outlet, they should cost only about $2 total to replace.
I'm very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend the product.

The Sanus wall mount works exactly as advertised. Feels very solid, using the longest screws, you could hang an elephant from the wall. That's how good and strong this thing is. Installation was very easy and quick, I think it took me about 15 minutes to install it.
Originally I was undecided between this model and the low profile one. However, I am glad I chose this one.
First, it gives you the option of tilting the TV. The low profile does not.
Second, you have about 2.5" of clearance between the wall and the back of the TV. The other model I think has less than 2". Even with the 2.5" of space the HMDI cables are touching the wall. I don't know how the people with the low profile wall mount were able to install HDMI cables without pushing the lower part of the TV forward. This brings one question, why doesn't anybody make HDMI cables with a 90 degree (L shape) connection at one end?
Third, and not so important, it was a litle cheaper than the low profile model.
I would like to hear from anyone regarding the L shape HMDI connection.

Purchased to mount a LG 42LD520 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV. Installation is a one-person job up to the last step of actually seating the TV onto the mount. Instructions are the slightest bit vague - there are no recommendations for where to place the wall plate in relation to your studs, just that you need at least two studs that are more than 12 inches apart. Practically, it probably doesn't matter. The Sanus website does give directions on how high to drill the holes based on your TV and mount, and where you want the TV to end up.
The mounting process is otherwise very simple - attach wall plate to wall, attach hooks to TV, hook TV onto wall plate. Only concern is that my right hook (facing the back of the TV) is a tiny bit loose, causing the TV to cock just slightly down and to the left (facing the front of the TV). Not enough to be stucturally significant, and easily shimmed up with a couple thin pieces of cardboard. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

This bracket set lived up to the great reviews we saw completely. It is very solidly constructed and contains all of the hardware needed to install it in a normal home setting. We use it for a very heavy (glass fronted) 52 inch TV, and it is more than sturdy enough.
I was a bit nervous about buying this on line since the same item at a big box retailer was roughly three times the price, but it came quickly and was the same model I had looked at in person.
The instructions could have been a bit more explanatory in places, but the pictures were generally sufficient once it was all unpacked and laid out. In addition to a having a good level handy, it is important to realize that the wall mount and the brackets that fit on the back of the TV have a little play in them and that must be taken into account to achieve a level installation, but this also helps you to make small adjustments, if needed. Just plan a test mount or two two to verify that you have everything level.
And the cats greatly appreciate the Amazon shipping box, too!

I've ordered this wall mount for my Sony Bravia 46". Installation was very simple once I've found the studs in my wall - the instructions are pretty clear and the system is simple enough that one could mount it just based on a few pointers in the instructions. The design is giving good flexibility in terms of left/right positioning of the TV, and the product is sturdy enough that if you use adequate mounting screws (the ones in the package are good enough) and have reliable hard wood studs, you should not have any issues with the weight of the TV.
The tilting range of the mount is great, not only for facing the TV at an ideal angle to your seating area, but it also allows to tilt the TV so high up, that you can actually get to the input and output jacks without dismounting the whole TV.
The only little criticism I have is that, although the mount comes with various types of screws and discs, they could have thrown in a couple more options for shorter screws to match some of the holes on the back of my TV. I ended up getting some from the store.
