I read all the great reviews this product received, so there were no surprises when I opened and installed this mount. I expected this to be a complicated installation, so I was glad to see what looked like a well packaged item...3 major parts and associated nuts and bolts. The installation manual was entirely illustrative, but done well enough that there were no questions about how to install.
After a lot of measurements and verifying stud locations (for my own satisfaction), the wall mount went up quickly. The supplied 2.5 inch lag bolts firmly bonded the mount to the wall, which gave me the satisfied feeling that my 50 inch Samsung wasn't going to budge an inch.
The kit comes with a variety of screws to fit the brackets to most HDTVs, and of course the screws for my Samsung fit perfectly. The brackets went on quickly, and we simply lifted the TV to hang on the mount. Two more screws fitted to the bottom of the brackets ensure the TV can't be lifted off without removing them. The tilt mechanisms are a bit hard to reach, but I'm planning on keeping this at a fixed tilt, so no issues here.
Believe the reviews on this one. I highly recommend this high quality mount over the seemingly generic ones found at the local chain department stores.

I got a 46" Sony HDTV on this mount. The build quailty on this product is phenomenal. Very sturdy, nice black paint finish. 4 bolts holds the tv in place and 4 bolts to the wall to hold the mount/tv assembly.
It was an easy job for 2 people who have beginner to intermediate experience in home projects. It took us about 1.5 hours to complete, and that was really taking our time to make sure we installed correctly. We used a stud finder to pinpoint exactly where to drill and a level to ensure straight orientation. The only thing that went wrong is I was screwing in 1 of the bolts into the wall and tightened too much causing the bolt head to break off. I was freaking out because the screw was stuck in the wall and there was no way to get it out. But, we hung up the tv anyways and there is no problem. My hdtv is on the mount currently with 3 out of the 4 bolts in the wall. That justs proves to me the quality of this Sanus mount.
Overall, nice mount, has the tilting feature. Mounting positions are flexible so you don't have to be dead on every measurement. I recommend taking your time, have 2 people to do this job, and DONT OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLTS!! Also, we needed a drill, screwdriver, and socket wrench.

We decided to replace our TV at our lake cabin and also bought a wall mount to save some valuable floor space. We decided on the Sanus VMPL50B VisionMount Tilting Mount for 30"-56" HDTV sets. I installed the Sanus wall mount using thier four supplied lag screws to the 16" center studs following the easy to follow instructions included with all the needed parts for the installation. I then installed the bracket that was supplied to the back of the TV and then mounted the Panasonic TC-P42G10 Viera Plasma HDTV to the wall mount and slid the HDTV about 5" off center to the right as to center the TV on the wall. The wall mount is still hidden behind the TV even after being off-set by the 5". Then I installed the two locking screws and locked down the the TV mount to the wall mount to keep the TV from sliding from side to side. Then tilted the TV down so that the viewers could look at the TV which was centered with their field of vision. We are very happy with this Sanus Tilting Wall Mount as it is well built with easy to follow instructions and supplied with all needed parts whether you install the unit into wood wall studs of ether 16" or 24" centers or to concrete cinder blocks.Customer Review: Does exactly what I need it to do, and the price is right.

The outer box arrived absolutely demolished, but the actual mount packaging was intact.
I bought this to mount my Pioneer PDP-5020 50" plasma and it does exactly what I expected to do. I was a little apprehensive about mounting my precious tv on the wall but when I saw the size of the lag bolts I felt better about it. They're huge! My cordless impact gun wouldn't drive them in all the way...I had to get out the 18" ratchet!
The hardware included is pretty impressive. It looks like it covers a ton of different tv models and brands. It had the correct size and length bolts to mount my tv.
There are just two little quibbles I have with this mount. First, since it sits to close to the wall, the knobs that adjust the tilt tension are hard to access once the tv is on the wall unless you have tiny hands. Second is that once the holes are drilled and the mount is hung, there's no good way to get the mount exactly level. I got mine fairly close, but it's not 100% perfectly level.
Neither of these are big problems, though. You don't notice them once the tv is mounted.
For the price, this mount is awesome.

Very simple to install mount that comes with all hardware for sheet rock walls with studs as well as concrete or cinder block walls. You will need to provide your own drill bits and wrench though.
I used it to install a LN52A850 52" LCD TV
Instructions aren't great but anyone with half a brain can figure this out. I would recommend using a level because in my apartment the walls are not very straight so measure from the ceiling or floor was not a good option.
The whole hanging process took me roughly 1 hour, including measuring and drilling.
The mount itself is fairly heavy and feels very sturdy. As i mentioned before all hardware is included. If you have a lot of cables use the spacers provided with the hardware to bring the tv approximately an extra inch off the wall. This mount is fairly low profile so if your cables stick out of the back of the tv and not from the side the tilting down will be obstructed, but that's not a flaw of the mount as they do include the aforementioned spacers.
Mount is easily moved left to right and tilted up and down using 2 fingers, I do recommend this product
