Customer Review: Great product!

We purchased this for wall-mounting our 55-inch Samsung LED TV. I first looked around in Best buy, Fry's and other local stores, and most of the Sanus mounts were in the $100+ range. This mount on Amazon had very good reviews, and the price-point was appealing (I paid close to $50 for this), so I went for it.
The product was shipped via UPS, and arrived in about a week in great condition. Packaging was perfect too.
The back-plate of the mount feels very solid and sturdy in your hands. I had a lingering doubt in my mind that since the mount was almost $60 cheaper than similar ones in Best buy, it might be of cheaper quality, but that is not so. The two vertical attachments that screw-on to the back of the TV are also sturdy and have a solid steely feel.
Installation accessories: The screws, nuts and bolts that are needed to install the mount are given neatly marked in a plastic bag. I took the lag-screws to Home-Depot and asked them if these were of good quality or if I had to buy better ones. I asked two people, both of whom told me that these screws were good enough for the job. There is enough hardware in the box to get the job done. Other than these, you will need drill bits and a 18-volt+ power-drill.
Installation: Installing this mount is definitely a two-person job. For one thing, the plate that attaches to the wall is pretty heavy, so someone will have to hold it against the wall while you drive the lag-screws in. Make sure you drive lag-screws into two studs. In our case, there was a stud running right at the center of where we wanted to mount the TV, so the mount had to be placed a little off-center, so for good measure, I also used two more screws (with heavy-duty anchors) to balance the mount at three points.
Installation instructions are easy to figure out despite the very poor quality of the instruction leaflet.
We spent a lot of time taking measurements and making sure the mount is leveled correctly etc., so in all, we spent about 3.5 hours from start to finish to fix the mount to the wall.
I would have given this a 5-star review, but for three things:
1. The plate is around 29 inches wide. It would be nice if this were wider by about 5 inches or so (easy to find studs that way).
2. The mount does not allow all that much tilting actually. I had to struggle a bit to insert all the cables at the back of the TV after mounting it up on the wall.
3. Installation instructions can be a lot better!
In summary, I am satisfied with this purchase so far, and as I write this review, our TV is still safely on the wall (touchwood!)
