Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sanus Systems VMAVB Component Shelf Wall Mount (Black)Customer Review: Cheap and Works Well Summary: 4 Stars
These are great mounts that are cheap and strong. I actually used 159lb drywall anchors to hold up my AV components and they held up well. The only beef I can say is that the predrilled holes are to close to the center of the bracket. there are 4 of them and are almost in a straight line vertically down the center. Well it makes it a bit floppy when installed like that. I went ahead and drilled my own that were spaced near the sides so there are no horizontal movement. Worked like a charm. If you want a good solution to your mounting needs then you will be happy with these mounts.
Customer Review: They Carry My World! Summary: 5 Stars
Sanus products do exactly what they say they will do. I know have four racks holding the Pioneer Elite AV receiver/DCT/Marantz DVD/ JBL Center speaker and (yup, yup, yup) my very old Akai DD Turntable! Some others have complained that the support buds don't work with the feet of their components. Take them off! The streamlined appearance of your stack along with the obvious strength make these a nice approach to reducing clutter under your big screen. Hey, even my wife can live with them! She would just like to remind you to find the stud before relying on them...
Customer Review: Cable box wall mount Summary: 5 Stars
This wall mount is installed directly below a HDTV which has its own swivel wall mount. My cable box now sits on the Sanus wall mount.
I had a power outlet and the TV cable installed high on the wall behind the HDTV so that I wouldn't see wires and cables running down the wall. The Sanus wall mount is cleverly designed to help conceal the wiring.
The Sanus wall mount has a cover that hides the mounting screws and is also provides a channel to run wires from the cable box up to the HDTV. It makes for an easy and neat installation.
Customer Review: Worked as planned Summary: 4 Stars
Good, sturdy mounting for cable box. Two issues: one of the set screws stripped when I tried to tighten too much (which wasn't much...), but a little Lock Tite did the trick. Second issue is that I first installed the mounting plate based on leveling the plate itself. Once I got the arm up, I realized it was way out of level, so I ah to re-mount it. Word to the wise: install arms and determine where the bracket will be mounted based on where the arms are level. Othe than that, it's fine
Customer Review: Acceptable product; poor instructions Summary: 4 Stars
This product does everything it is supposed to do, and it is inexpensive and sturdy. Unfortunately the instructions that accompany it are WRONG. The pilot holes that must be drilled for the included lag bolts are misidentified as 1/4" in diameter. DO NOT DRILL 1/4" HOLES FOR THE LAG BOLTS! The correct diameter is 3/16 inches or less. If you drill 1/4" holes the lag bolts will NOT grip. The outside diameter of the threads of the lag bolts are around 1/4".
