I love this little radio. Its very light and I can wear it around my neck collar and listen to it with out the headphones or without holding in my hand. I live in an area with limited reception and work in a building that makes it even worse. This radio is still able to pull in reception and make the day easier to get thru (crappy job). People often confuse it for a cell phone and hardly ever think its a radio. Once you get used to the buttons and how Sangean has programmed them, its pretty easy to use. I get outstanding battery life as well. Sometimes I think today is the day the batteries will wear out, then the thing keeps playing for another week before I actually have to change them. Its not perfect, but for the weight, size and performance I dont think theres another radio out there to choose over this one. I use it more for AM talk radio than music and FM sounds much better thru headphones than the little speaker. So, in the end, its a good small radio, but it depends what your needs are when considering buying this.
Also, I do not like the earbuds( hate all earbuds) that it comes with and I use Sony with it now.

I looked carefully at four or five pocket radios and decided on the Sangean. After using it for a couple of months, I am extremely satisfied with my decision. The size is right and the shape pleasing, controls are intuitive, and the sound, both AM and FM, is superb. I love the auto shut-off function (90 minutes) but I would have been even happier if it had been 30 minutes. I use it on walks with my dog and around the house. But most of all I use it to get back to sleep if I wake up too early in the morning. Don't tell the folks at the BBC & PBS but the dulcet tones of their announcers work wonders at 3:00 am when I'm trying to snooze for another couple of hours. This is where the auto shut-off function comes in handy. Great little radio!
BUT--After owning this radio for about 4 weeks, it suddenly quit. I replaced the batteries with fresh ones--twice. But still no sound. I tried all the controls, including the "Lock" button, but the radio would not work. Fortunately, EXPO Electronics/Amazon is sending me a return authorization and will replace it. I just hope radio #2 works longer, a lot longer!!!

This is the perfect little radio, folks. It is small and sleek, with nice features. The reception is VERY good. In fact, I have not been able to listen to my favorite radio program for a year, since I moved last year from the town that it is broadcast from 50 miles south of my new home. Now I am able to pick up the station (although I have to angle the radio just in the right place in the house). No other radio since has been able to do that.You can even listen to local television broadcasts. The local television stations are extremely clear.
Great features on this slick little radio. I especially LOVE the little speaker on the front. It sounds fantastic! Great little digital display on front. Deep Base Boost (DBB) sounds fantastic.
I guess if there is one thing that I could say would have been a bit of an improvement would be to have a backlight on the digital display. But I'm not complaining. I love this radio!!
This obviously was a very well thought out radio by Sangeans. It has everything I was looking for in a pocket sized radio!
I am tempted to order another one.

I originally viewed this item Sangean DT 210 on 11/21/10 and told my husband this is what I wanted for Christmas...It was listed to sell for $36.31 with F.S....One week later when my husband went to order it, the price was $39. with no F.S....I told him that must be a mistake and to wait....A few weeks later the price went up to $41 including F.S. and I felt you were taking advantage of the Christmas rush and told my husband that I could wait for the price to come back down...Now I see you have again raised the price to $44 and I find this to be totally unacceptable, especially since it is still the same model you had initially had for sale @$36.31...
I doubt if portable radios are still a hot item like ipods etc. and this is not new & improved or anything other than the original Sangean I wanted back in Nov.
I'm not sure this complaint will have any validity in changing your marketing strategy for this product, but you keep showing it to me and having your pricing continuing to rise will not make me buy this radio. I hope you can lower it at some future date...

I commute 2hrs each way, and since i can only listen to the tunes on my ipod so many times, i was hoping to find a radio with the best reception possible so i would not lose the signal along the way.
I've owned several Sony SFR-M37V, and after getting frustrated, I found the Sangean on Amazon. After reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a shot. Unfortunately, there was no comparison -- the sony beats the Sangean hands down.
Yeah, sure the Sangean looks cooler, and it looks like it has some interesting features, but after you use it for a while, you realize those features are more of a hassle than anything.
Oh, and did I mention that I accidentally dropped the Sangean today and it no longer works? Yes, it's my fault, but dropping is to be expected with such a device, and I dropped the sony a hundred times with no impact to it's function other than a cracked batter cover.
If you are looking for reception, my recommendation is to go for the Sony which you can find for $30 in most retailers rather than $50 Sangean.
