Customer Review: Works well, and a Mac tip

This unit came in regular retail packaging, including a brief 'manual'. Tested with two SD cards from a Canon SD550 camera as well as a new Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SDC4/8GB. The possible Mac tip: Nothing showed up when initially plugged into the MacBook Pro (mid-2006, Snow Leopard 10.6.7), BUT, after plugging into one of the PCs (recognized immediately) THEN plugged back into the Mac, bada-bing, all's well. Not sure if that was just coincidence (perhaps I hadn't fully inserted it into the Mac the first time though I'm fairly sure I did), and I did nothing but view the contents on the PC: the magic of technology <g> The Kingston card came pre-formatted FAT32, the Canon cards are a Kingston SD 256MB (FAT16) and the original Canon branded SD 32MB (FAT12). Viewing .jpg files from either platform was transparent and quick, no need to plug the camera in on Mac or Win to transfer.
There was a comment somewhere (maybe not here) that there was nowhere to put the 'cap', it fits snugly on the end while using the reader. I'd definitely recommend this to friends or clients if they needed a reader.
Minor editorial comment: I emphasize to clients the value of buying quality media, be it memory, hard disks or optical media. Taking a look around any of the hardware fora you'll eventually see the same thing over and over when folks have media issues: "What brand?" "Oh, I bought this [whatever] at the big-box store..." Problem solved ;-)
