Bought this reader to replace an old one that died on me, and I'm quite satisfied with it. On my Mac (a PowerBook G4), it mounts quickly and files transfer quite fast in comparison to some other products I've used in the past. Don't be silly like me and insert a Memory Stick Duo (Pro or otherwise) in it without an adapter--it works, but it's very difficult to get the card out again! (See the picture I uploaded to the gallery to see what I mean.) Overall, this is a good product for the right price.Customer Review: Quick and easy

Folks, This thing is great. Simple Plug and Play, Drag and Drop. No software needed (except, I suppose, Win 98). NOTE: There is a sticker on the thing that says - STOP and install the button application first. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THAT!! Unless you want some of the other software on the CD (or you need the 98 drivers), you don't need the CD for anything. I have Windows ME and I needed NOTHING extra to get the reader up and running. I purchased the Sandisk card and the reader/writer. I am not sure which item is not working, but I have to insert the card and extract it many times to get it to read the card. Once the device see's the card I have no problems downloading or uploading. I have no problem with the phone reading the card, so I speculate the SDDR-99 is not working the way it is suppose to. But that is all I have to say. It is convenient to download music to and then play it on my phone. Pictures too.Customer Review: 1st time around great, but 2nd and 3rd?

This machine read great the first time and I was EXTREMELY pleased.
But whether my card is bad or the particular machine that we bought was bad... the machine grew very hot in a short amount of time and burned up the memory card.
So now I'm hesitant about re-using the machine plus we have to spend money on another memory card for the camera.
So this is just a warning to most of you. It's not all featherbeds with this one.

Forget those expensive loading docks! This little 2" X 3" transmitter simply plugs into the front or back of your computer with an adapter cord and with 2 minutes of time for the CD progam upload, you are all set! Just place your memory card in the slot and off you go with easy instructions! Don't use up your camera batteries when you can drop $10-$15 bucks for this great little item! The CD-ROM comes with cool extras - so SAVE your batteries!
