Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sandisk 8GB Extreme SDHC Card-Class 10 (SDSDX3-008G-A31)

Customer Review: Very Good SD card
Summary: 5 Stars

I highly recommend this card to anyone who is looking for fast, dependable, high quality storage media. I am really impressed with the value, it would have cost twice as much at places like best buy, which don't sell anything above a 6 speed card (At least in their stores). I think this ten speed card is a much bettter value than the inferior cards that all the major retailers seem to stock. I have owned many other brands of cards and can tell you that I always comeback to Sandisk. I don't think you will find a better card for this price.

Customer Review: San Disk 8GB smart card
Summary: 3 Stars

I like the card well, but was a little disappoint that the distinction between SD and SDHC was not more prominent. Though this has not been a factor in my case, there are conditions where the SDHC could have been unusable. In addition, the company which sold me the card charged a shipping price which was equal to one-half the price of the card. Since USPS priority overnight is on $5.05 for an item of this size and weight, paying $25 for shipping seemed a lot. Other than the shipping charge, however, I am pleased with the card itself.

Customer Review: The speed you need
Summary: 5 Stars

Be careful when purchasing cheaper SD cards for a Digital SLR. Having purchased the new Canon Rebel T1 to replace my XT, I thought I could get away with a Transend card. However, the size of the image files when taking a burst of photos would bog the camera down preventing me from taking other shots. The Write Speed was just way too slow... enter the Sandisk Extreme III. All I can say is wow, the card is fast, very fast and I was able to shoot over 170 pictures of may daughter golfing yesterday with 0 delays.

Customer Review: Works great, but too small for my comfort
Summary: 4 Stars

I have not timed this card to see if in fact it works as fast as the manufacturer states, but it is fast. I am using it on the new Canon T1i at various apertures and speeds, and it has responded well every time. But WOW these things are small, maybe an inch long and very thin. I bought two so I keep the spare on the clear plastic case that came with my old Compact card. These SDHC cards can be easily misplaced but they work just fine.

Customer Review: Sandisk Extreme III 8GB SD Memory Card
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased a couple of these cards to use with my new Nikon D90 DSLR based upon other reviews I've read, and the camera manufacturer's recommendations. So far, these cards are performing flawlessly. They are fast enough to keep up with the demands of the D90 - even when I record 24fps video clips. They're a little pricey, but fit the bill if you have a very demanding application like a fast DSLR, or video camera.
