Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sandisk 8GB EXTREME SDHC SD Card Class 6 (SDSDX3-8192 Bulk Package)

Customer Review: Extreme III 8 GB memory card class 6
Summary: 3 Stars

Not 100% sure how to rate. I recieved a memory card that didn't match the picture, I called immediately and was reisured that SanDisk changed their cards to improve quality. After talking to tech support at Komputerbay,I verified this information through SanDisk themselves and the rep reisured the information given to me was correct.I was told by Komputerbay tech if I wasn't satisfied to return it and ALL CHARGES including shipping both ways would be credited. So I can't say it was bad customer service. I took pics using the card and after my pics were loaded through a card reader the 1st 2 pics showed ? marks when viewed on my camera - not sure why. I then attempted to load them directly onto my computer inwhich those 2 pics were able to be downloaded. I went to Ritz Camera and was told the card maybe a bad one but I think is't ok and will keep it to use as a back up. I since have gone to Best Buy and purchased a better card class 10 8GB for $50.00 and plan on using that as my primary card whic was only $15 more than I paid for my class 6 8GB. Customer service with Komputerbay was fine not to mention they have a phone # you can call unlike some others.

Customer Review: Buy One With A Warranty
Summary: 1 Stars

I've had this memory card for only a few months and at first it worked great. It was definitely able to keep up with my camera and held plenty of pictures. I must have received a faulty unit, however, because the card has slowly been holding less pictures. I took the card to the aquarium yesterday and i was hoping to take plenty of photos. When I began shooting, however,I found that the card would only hold 56 images. Luckily I had another card with me so the trip was not ruined. My other card is the cheaper 8GB SanDisk SDHC class 4 and it was able to hold several hundred pictures without reaching its limit. I'm incredibly disappointed with this product and since it does not come with a warranty I am stuck with the defective card. Since many people seem to be having good experiences with their cards I wouldn't necessarily recommend purchasing a different brand but if you're going to purchase this card buy it from someone who offers a warranty.

Customer Review: There is no substitute... SanDisk is simply the BEST!
Summary: 5 Stars

If you have an SDHC compatible digital camera or camcorder and you like to take high resolution photos (5MP or higher) or High-Definition Video (720P/1080P), do yourself a big favor... buy this card! I recently bought the SanDisk 8GB Extreme III card for my Canon HF100 and Kodak Zi6 camcorders and I must say the performance is without equal! Salespeople will sometimes tell you that all memory cards are the same, but that is totally untrue. The "no-name" cards you find on some sites give spotty performance and mixed results. I've had HD video footage ruined by other brand "class 6" cards which fail to write fast enough to memory. The resulting footage is generally "jerky" when played back on your computer. Bottomline, I've used SanDisk products for years in my Sony PSP, Sony Clie PDA, and Nikon Coolpix 5000 and NEVER had a problem. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this card to anyone with an SDHC compatible electronic device.

Customer Review: After getting a "value" high speed - high capacity card, I have learned my lesson
Summary: 5 Stars

After buying a cheap High Speed-High Capacity card for my first SD Camcorder, I really regret it. I should have stuck to a reputable manufacturer witha good warranty. After I used this card in both my Panasonic TZ-3 and Sanyo Xacti HD1, the difference is night and day. The other card I had was supposed to be 133x, but it never came anywhere close to that and would never achive full capacity (it would start corrupting data after less then half the card was occupied. Definitely not something you want to happen when you are recording a wedding or are on vacation (happend to me at both instances). I also never got response from the manufacturer when I tried to contact customer support.

In the retail package, it was nice that it also included a card reader and a storge pouch. The reader is even more useful now since many laptops that have integrated readers do not support the new high cap (SDHC) cards.

Customer Review: Excellent Product but ...
Summary: 5 Stars

Blue Proton shiped it prompt but when I opened the mail package the Extreme III was in a plastic package. Contacted selller, again they were very prompt to reply back and they promptly send the RMA number if I want to return. Well, shipping it back plus restocking fee could have made me lose around 15 dollar. So, I am keeping this product asuming thats I bought it just as is.

I also learned that these small scale sellers buy these product new in bulk and then they repackage it and sell it. The one of the main reason they sell it damm cheap. This Extreme III is blazzing fast and I have been using Sandisk for almost 8 years, so I do have confidence about its reliability.

I give --
5 stars to Sandisk.
3 stars to BlueProton.

Good luck to all who recieved this card in a static package!
