Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sandisk 8GB Cruzer Titanium USB 2.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ7-8192-A11, Retail Package)

Customer Review: Reliable and durable
Summary: 5 Stars

I am very satisfied with my titanium cruzer. Has held up well to my rather routine abuse of carrying it with other metal junk and tossing it about. Love the blue light. Would be nice if it came with a larger and more durable link for attaching to key rings, etc.

Customer Review: Solid and Sleek
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm very happy with this thumb drive. All the previous ones i've owned had plastic shells and easily broke off my key chain. When i first opened the factory sealing on this thumb drive, i immediately was impressed with the titanium shell. It makes you feel secure that it can take a tremendous beating, but it's also shiny and smooth to the touch. And of course the fact that the usb connector slides in and out foregoing the need for a cap is a huge plus. I've lost the caps on every single one of my previous thumb drives and i've always found it so irritatingly inevitable that i would.

Customer Review: Excellent product but pricey
Summary: 4 Stars

The Cruzer Titanium is an excellent product but expensive given the number of GB's you get. It is extremely well built and has a much better operational feel than the USB flash drives that I own which have a plastic body.

Since I use a Mac the software that was included really had no value. I deleted all of it.

If you carry this on your key ring or just throw it into your computer bag, then the additional ruggedness of the Titianium flash drive is worth the money. But if you just keep it in a drawer, is it really worth the additional money just to get a flash drive that feels more solid?? If the flash drive has a nice cozy life in a drawer, the plastic body will be rugged enough.

Customer Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

I actually got this 8GB Cruzer titanium to replace the 16 GB Cruzer titanium I recently purchased. While the 16 GB was slow, horribly slow, this 8GB USB is marvelous! It's fast, reliable, and there is plenty of space. I use the U3, mainly to run Firefox and it just zooms, even with lots of add-ons. Saving files is fast as well. The LED is blue, which is nice and soothing and the casing is exactly the same as the 4GB Cruzer titanium (which I also have and absolutely love). There is no cap to lose and the retractable mechanism is smooth. On top of it all, it's really small and easy to carry. It did not come with a strap, but I attached a small clamp and can easily and safely attach it to my clothes and not even notice it. It's a great product, fast, solid, easy to use, well worth the money!

Customer Review: Great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I already had a Sandisk 2gb flashdrive--a plastic one. No worries with it. It still works great but I needed a flashdrive with more space and opted for the titanium drive because of the durability factor. I've been pretty protective of the plastic 2gb drive, but I figure this one will stand up to rougher handling.

Shipment was quick, and the product itself works perfectly.

I've heard complaints about Sandisk's embedded software, but I have no ax to grind about it, myself. I actually like the fact that I can make the flash drive password-protected.

To sum up: Good product, good service, what more can one ask for?
