The Sandisk 4GB EXTREME III SDHC SD Card was accepted by the Nikon D5000 instantly, it didn't even need formatting. It's transfer rate seems instantaneous. It holds a ton of photos, I haven't had to open the 2nd one I bought, I guess it's just going to be a back up. Blue Proton had the lowest price. I use the card in my Canon digital zoom and like the clarity of the images. It's fast and using it has made my hobby more enjoyable and rewarding. I've been using it to capture hummingbirds in flight and the card can stop the wings in flight.
It also captures color realistically on all subjects, and so far, the card has been reliable (I've used it about 6 weeks).

Received the item as described. Note that this item (static pack) comes in a sealable plastic, with the Sandisk Extreme III SD Card and a plastic case for the SD card inside -- nothing more. Packaging aside, the Sandisk Extreme III worked well for my D90. I can now shoot at 12mp's continuously without slowing down due to reaching the memory buffer limit. I purchased from BlueProton and received the exact card that was pictured. I currently run the card in my Nikon D5000 at the highest resolution, and it doesn't miss a beat. I have tried shooting continous in RAW format and it keeps up. The class 6 is great but if you are shooting larger than 14 megapixels I would opt for a higher speed class.

The product is exactly what you're expecting to receive: Fast and reliable. The packaging is nothing more than glorified bubble wrap, so if that doesn't bother you, this is a great price for a great card.
Also, I have read reviews that imply that the cards are not new. This does not appear to be the case for me. My card appears to be perfectly new.
