Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sandisk 4 GB Extreme SDHC CardCustomer Review: Good card for value but it is a used card Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great brand card for the value. However, as vidyut, the first review on the product wrote,
"However, read the description of this particular item carefully. What you get is a what they say here - a card in an anti-static envelope. The card that I got did not look new - the contacts had use marks on it."
He's right, I got a card which also has scratch marks on the contacts as if it had been used. It seems to work fine but the description should mention that it's not brand new but a returned item, hence the value. I did get, nonetheless, the newer card on the market by SanDisk, and not the image of the one which was originally posted.
I bought the scratched card from BlueProton.
Customer Review: Beware if using older card reader--New SD-HC cards may not work... Summary: 5 Stars
I love the SanDisk Ultra II and Extreme III series of media, however, if you've been using older generation memory card readers then you should know that these newer SD-HC format (secure digital high capacity) memory cards probably won't work in your older memory card reader. It is the "HC" format that causes the problem. I've only encountered this problem with SD cards starting at 4 GB and larger. The 2 GB and smaller cards aren't "HC" and thus still work fine in older card readers. Other media like compact flash, memory stick, etc. also still seem to work OK with older readers at all sizes.
A new card reader could set you back nearly thirty bucks so think carefully before buying SD-HC media.
Customer Review: Static pack = NEW Summary: 5 Stars
It seems some people are confused about the discription. Static pack means that the item comes in a static envelop not the normal store packaging one would get when buying the sd card from a local retailer. It looks like the card came with a camera and was taken out of the box and sold separately.
Although iflashteam (or eTech) does not specify in the item description that the card is new, when you review your order it shows that the seller is advertising the item as new. Amazon gives you an order summary and it says under condition "new".
Mine arrived in brand new and pristine condition except that it only came in the little plastic case with a static envelop around it.
Customer Review: Read the description carefully Summary: 3 Stars
The card is good, and will ensure that the bottleneck for delays will be in the camera's circuitry, not in the write operation to the card post click.
However, read the description of this particular item carefully. What you get is a what they say here - a card in an anti-static envelope. The card that I got did not look new - the contacts had use marks on it. I am keeping it because I did not notice this detail in the description, because I got a great price, because I needed to use it right after getting it, and because it seems to work fine. But it isn't new - not that the description said anything about it being so.
Customer Review: Brand new, fast, and inexpensive Summary: 5 Stars
I received this card today from Amazon shipped from ChiTek, it was not in a baggie, but a hard plastic case. The card is brand new, no scratches on the contacts at all. This card seems to be very fast, and the price is very low.
I did find an even better deal for this card on the web for a total cost with shipping of $13.98, and it came with a SanDisk SD/SDHD card reader and travel case, plus a mini-CD with SanDisk RescuePRO v3.3 (data recovery software for Mac or Windows) from Consumer Depot. They have a less than stellar reputation, but my experience was very positive. It pays to shop around.
