Faster than the labeled "Class 4" minimum spec.
I tested it against my older SanDisk Ultra II 4GB SDHC (SanDisk changed the labeling from "Ultra II" to just "Ultra"), and found that the "Ultra" was slower than my older "Ultra II." I suspect that any two cards are not exactly alike. The Ultra II wrote at ~10 MB/s and the Ultra wrote ~8 or ~9 MB/s.
Excellent card overall. No problems. Paid $12.99
Other notes:
I'm wondering how something like a Transcend Class 10 would compare. I'd be willing to test it against this card, since the SanDisk Ultra series speeds are close to higher class ratings.
I gave it 4 stars because it performed slightly slower than my older SanDisk Ultra II, but it probably deserves 5 stars because both cards perform significantly faster than their Class 4 rating.

I looked at lots of SD cards before settling on the SanDisK Ultra II SDHC 4GB. I have never filled up my first SD card which is a 1GB SD card, but my newest camera is a 12MP compared to my older camera with 7MP and I didn't want to run out of space. I go fishing and camping for days at a time and tend to take dozens of outdoor shots. And when I go to places like Australia or New Zealand I take hundreds. I had never given a thought to the quality of a product like an SD card until I started reading reviews and found too many "one star" reviews of the less expensive SD cards. And more than one reviewer praised SanDisk as a superior quality product. I have only owned this item for a few weeks but it performs flawlessly. I am impressed with the reputation of SanDisk ULTRA SD cards and will probably buy one or two more.Customer Review: It works as it's designed to work - well

The product/s works exactly how I want: well, easily, consistently and without problem. The operating system (XP Pro SP2) recognizes the SanDisk (through the MicroMate) immediately and creates a new drive, from which I transfer files to my hard drive. It worked without issue the first time I tried it and every time since. The MicroMate is very portable (barely larger than the SanDisk), making it easy to take with you in case you want to transfer files at another computer somewhere. I haven't used it yet on someone else's computer so I don't know yet how well it'll work elsewhere.
The SanDisk has worked well with my Canon digital camera to record images, erase them or reformat the SanDisk.
I am pleased with this bundle and recommend anyone looking for a card/reader combination to buy this bundle.

It is really amazing to watch the prices of these cards drop while storage size increases. A few years ago, I spent more for a 128mb SD card! Couple of things, however:
1.This is a SDHC card, it may not work in an older camera.
2.The reader** is black rather than white (as shown)*. If you wish to match a white MacBook, for example, check here:

Customer Review: Fantastic speed and capacity for the price

Bottom line, the card gets the job done. I gave this (and other camera accessories) to my girlfriend for her birthday, and this card was the highlight of the gift. She is now able to take photos faster because of the reduced time it takes for the camera to save the photo data to the disc--it's actually MUCH faster (she had a 1 gig card of unknown speed before). While my girlfriend rarely goes a day without moving her pictures from her camera to her computer, the card is able to hold as many photos as she can take. Gone are the days of having to delete photos off her card because it was full. 4GB is more than enough for anyone who doesn't need a ridiculously unreasonable amount of memory (such as for sports shooting) and I recommend this card for it's low price and fast speed. Great work, SanDisk.
