Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Ultra Compact Flash 2GB Card (SDCFH-002G-A11) (Retail Package)Customer Review: Big enough, fast enough ... good enough Summary: 5 Stars
I shoot both a Nikon D200 and a D2X. I use Jpeg Large Fine setting. Both cameras do 5 fps. When I am shooting children's sporting events, I never have a space or speed problem with this card. I carry several of the 2GB cards and switch when I am somewhere below 30 images left and there is a lull in the action.
I like the safety of spreading over several smaller cards rather than trusting larger ones. At a wedding I once had a low battery situation in a D1X 'eat' a card. Lost some groomsmen hijinx ... but not a large block of the wedding.
Customer Review: Corrupts Often! Summary: 1 Stars
I've had this card for two months and it has corrupted, on various occasions, over 100 images. The previews will often record correctly, but the actual image files are damaged or missing. I use this card with a very nice pro-sumer camera. This has caused me a considerable amount of heartbreak and frustration. The kicker is that I have two 2GB "cheapie" cards that came with my camera with no problems, but when I bought this well-reviewed card for safety/security/peace of mind, it turned out to be the lemon.
Very frustrating! AVOID.
Customer Review: Good camera memory for P&S cameras Summary: 5 Stars
This card was purchased for use in a 7.1 megapixel Canon A-620 camera. The card has recorded at least 5000 stills and 3 hours worth of 640 x 480 x 30fps MJPEG video clips in the camera, with zero failures. This is probably not the fastest SD card available, so if you are shopping for a card for an HDV video camcorder or high-end digital SLR, you might want to pay a little more and get the highest-speed rated card.
I paid $135 for this card in June 2005, now it is only $35! After next Christmas, it will probably be on sale for $20...
Customer Review: Works great! Summary: 5 Stars
Now a days, most products are moving to using smaller sized, high capacity memory cards such as SD cards and microSD cards. However, if you own and are sentimentally attached to a product that has the option of using a CF card, the CF card option will offer a higher capacity memory for a lesser price than the SD or microSD card. As far as CF cards, this one in particular is a pretty high capacity card with higher transfer rate compared to older generation CF cards. It is made by a reputable company, and it is very reasonably priced.
Customer Review: Always reliable! Summary: 5 Stars
I'll leave the long write-ups to others, but I've owned 4 SanDisk Ultra II memory cards (CF & SD), including this one here, and have shot thousands upon thousands of digital photos, and I have never ever had a problem with this reliable brand. And this "Ultra II" provides fast performance . I have a huge buffer in my newest cam so I don't need speed as much anymore (hence the reason I'm not getting Extreme IV), but the speed of this card is always nice to have. It's just nice to have a card you can rely on.
