Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Ultra 16 GB Class 4 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRH-016G-A11Customer Review: SanDisk Ultra II 16 GB/15MB SDHC Summary: 5 Stars
I received my SanDisk SD card in six days which is great for free shipping.
I inserted the SD card into my Zen mp3 player and figured out how to access the SD card with my computer fairly quickly and easily. I have so far only put one small file on the SD card just to see if it would work and how it works. The Zen mp3 player does not allow integration of the SD card with the Zen library so I plan to use it mainly as an emergency back up in case I use all my space in the Zen library. This SD card is recommended by Creative after being tested on their products. This was encouraging to me to know that it would work. The SanDisk wasn't the cheapest SD card but I liked the idea that it had been tested on Zen mp3 and that it would work.
Another plus is that it comes with a MicroMate card reader. I can insert the SD card into the MicroMate and then plug it directly into the computer. Just having that versatility is reassuring that it is money well spent.
Customer Review: SanDisc SD 16BG camera memory Summary: 5 Stars
In the case of photo memory, MORE and FASTER is always the key. I have used SanDisk SD memory in previous iterations (1GM, 2GB, 4BG) and now 16GB. I find that they ALL exhibit the same excellent speed of writing to card, and readiness for next shot. I don't have the ability to measure the speed, but the 16GB card writes and readies for the next shot as quickly as each of its predecessor SanDisk SD Ultra cards I've used, so I recommend it without reservation. Slower cards may suit the casual family gathering; but for the enthusiast, nature lover or if you want semi-professional results where time is of the essence, nothing will beat the SanDisk Ultra SD card. And unless you use the camera for feature-length movies, I see no reason to require 32GB when they come out. I find for most purposes, the 5GB picture mode more than sufficient for sharp definition at 8X10. Maybe 10GB if you want to make 2'X3' posters!!
Customer Review: A Great Hardy Disk that is Hard to Find! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a set of SanDisk Ultra II 16GB/15MB SDHC Cards at the recommendation of my camera rep. I checked many stores and, IF I WAS ABLE TO FIND this card, (only 1 of 7 stores had it) it's only sold at list price. Fortunately, amazon.com had the SanDisk Ultra II 16GB/15MB SDHC Card in stock and at a savings.
If you're shooting HD video, this disk is ideal. I'm able to film hours and the quality is outstanding. Using the disk over and over has not reduced the quality of the recordings. Another advantage is convenience. I popped out the card, put it in my computer (I use MacBook Pro) and while I was downloading the contents, I put in another card and I'm back shooting in minutes. Save time and money without fear of less than great quality. The disk comes with the SanDisk Micromate for convenience!
Customer Review: Works great in a Nikon D80 Summary: 5 Stars
I received this item in only a few days even with free shipping. I took it vacation for use in a Nikon D80. I've been shooting simultaneously in RAW and JPEG and didn't want to be limited by my memory card. I will NEVER fill this card up before I get back to a computer download my pictures. It's actually pretty ridiculous how much room there is on the card. I recommend it because it works great and it has a huge capacity. I should also mention that I have never had an issue with a SanDisk memory card. I used a 2 GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card in my Nikon P5000 for the year prior. I could have just stuck with that card but I wanted more space. If you are taking pictures, even when each shutter click records two very high quality copies at the same time, you will be hard pressed to fill this card up.
Customer Review: it's much slower than 8gb sandisk! Summary: 1 Stars
Ok here is the story, I got 8 gb SDHC sandisk class 4 at costco, the speed is pretty good, so I like to get more space on the card, I ordered this 16 gb SDHC class 4, and this 16 gb card, the speed is much much slower than the 8 gb, I don't know why, but I can compare these 2 cards are not the same, they are all from Scandisk, class 4 and why the speed is difference!
I ordered scandisk 16 gb class4 from Amazon, and got it sent from Beach Camera, and the card label is not the same with the one on amazon web site. so there are different version of scandisk 16 gb class. just watch out for the label as well, if the label exact the same like the one on amazon web site then maybe the speed is better.
I'm not recommend this 16 gb to anyone at all!
