Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk ULTRA SDHC 8GB Class 4 Flash Memory Card SDSDRH-008G-A11Customer Review: SanDisk only for this user... Summary: 5 Stars
Going on vacation to Disney last summer, I used one of these and a few smaller ones. Since the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami hit, and they predicted that Flash memory prices will rise, I snapped up two of these at $11.99 each. They perform well in my canon 500d (T1i) despite canon saying you should use class 6 and above. With these two and my other sandisk 8gb, plus my SanDisk 2 and 4gb...I have 36gb of storage. No need to drag along a laptop so I can clean off the cards, next time I go somewhere.
Having had other cards fail, I trust SanDisk exclusively. They hold up and seem to have excellent throughput.
Customer Review: Great buy Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased a Nikon D60 camera and wanted a reliable, fast SD card that I didn't have to worry about. The D60 is a 10MP camera so the file sizes of the pictures are very large. This can slow down transfer speeds, plus I wanted to avoid the risk of running out of room on the card just when I needed to take a picture. This card can hold about 4,000 high res images and the transfer speed is pretty quick. There are faster cards, but for the $22 I spent on this one, it is a very good value. I shopped around and found it on most other sites for quite a bit more.
Customer Review: Worst Customer Service Summary: 1 Stars
Don't buy SanDisk. They have the worst customer service. If your cards turn out to be defective, as the 2 I bought were, SanDisk doesn't want to deal with it. They ask a lot of stupid questions and make a lot of stupid recommendations, none of which can fix a physical defect -- which you can see by all the negative feedback has become all too frequent. And then, getting them to issue an RMA for a replacement is nearly impossible. They just don't want to deal with the fact that a lot of what they are selling is defective.
Customer Review: Good product and it works on Canon 60D! Summary: 5 Stars
I have got this card before Canon 60D was bought. It works well for taking pictures on Canon 60D, but it's too slow on videos. It stops too often and a little annoying if you want to take a little longer movies. As I use the Canon primarily for photos, it won't be a big deal.SanDisk Ultra II - Flash memory card - 8 GB - Class 4 - SDHC My next card will be Sandisk 8gb Class 10 though.
Customer Review: Great price, quick delivery, very fast Summary: 5 Stars
With some skepticism, I bought this for my Canon EOS Rebel T1i. The dealer I chose had a good rating and I received it in about 3 days, which I consider very fast. It is a very fast card. Noticeably faster than a standard 8GB at about half the retail price in a drug store. I'd recommend anyone with a digital camera to use this speed whether shooting video or not. I just take single frames of wildlife but usually 2-3 in a burst. This card keeps up with me very well.
