I found the travel case kit to be a very worthwhile purchase for the Sansa. All components are of high quality. With my only gripe being the "SanDisk" badge on the case itself. The leather fits well and is very protective. If I had to be picky, the record button and the memory port are not available when the device is sleeved... but I don't use them so it's not a big deal. I was able to put the screen cover on with ease and it does a fine job of protecting the screen. A plus about the screen protector is that it covers the top half of the device and thus sits behind the window of the leather case. Meshed top holds my ear buds nicely.
All in all, an excellent purchase. Highly recommended.

I would love to rate the product but since Amazon can't get their act together and ship the product I will have to wait.
Got an e-mail on 25 June that the item had shipped, they didn't actually ship it until the 29th of June.
The item shipped from Capital Heights, MD at the Amazon warehouse (60 miles from my house) but Amazon sent it to New Port News, Va (160 miles from my house) now I have to wait even longer to get the items I paid to have shipped. Called Amazon for assistance and they are sorry (Yeah right) but they don't offer to fix their mistakes "Sorry we can't help but we apreciate your business and look forward to your next purchase" Ha doubt I will buy from Amazon again.

The outer case is well-constructed and padded. The inner case, which fits directly over the player, gives every appearance of providing good protection. It does require a little patience to get it well-positioned for access to the controls. The access could be better, especially for people with large fingers. You will probably find yourself using your finger nail rather than finger. The screen protector is not difficult to install as some have suggested, but you will not get a smudge-free screen. On the other hand, when the player is turned on, the smudges are not noticeable. Toss the ear buds and use high quality earphones and the size of the outer case becomes irrelevant.Customer Review: Essentially the best thing for the job.

The thing I most like about this particular item is that you get a leather case that is portable for your daily travels and you get the protective outer casing for your storage. You don't have to lug around the larger protective casing unless you have a mind to. The flexible leather portable casing fits quite nicely and with no trouble inside the protective case.
It portable soft case gives the MP3 player a classy upscale look. Very nice. I am more than happy with this purchase.
It arrived in a timely manner too. I took the standard delivery and it arrived sooner than expected. I got one for myself and one for my wife.

This little player works great, is nicely user friendly BUT quite fragile.
My son's screen broke in less than a week. Even with the stupid little stick on screen protector.
After searching the internet we discovered this is quite COMMON, but Sansa doesn't stock the screen as a replacement part.
So, if you are planning on buying this unit make sure you spend the extra 15.00 and get the zip case for it too.
I had to haunt sansa to get them to replace my son's unit.
I have bought 4 of these (one for each of us ) to date. Seemed like a good comprismise compared to the overpriced, over-hyped ipods..
Now have to wonder.
