Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Sansa e200 Series 5-Piece Travel Case KitCustomer Review: Doesn't quite fit the Sansa Connect Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased this kit for the new wifi Sansa Connect. The Connect fits in the larger case (which seems very nice and sturdy) but the smaller leather "glove" does not fit at all. I have not tried the screen protectors yet. My husband had to get a razor blade and carve out a bit of the foam in the larger travel case so the Sansa Connect's nubby antenna would fit, but since the interior has a very nice dense foam padding it was no problem.
Oh, and I like the little "clippy" lanyard. It's not one of those slip-knot lanyards, this one has a nice swivel clip that attaches to a metal loop on the back of the case. The belt loop is two thick velcro strips, so it's fully adjustable. Let me be clear, I really like the travel case, but if you are buying this thinking the leather glove case will fit the Connect, it will not.
Customer Review: Sansa e200 series Travel case Summary: 4 Stars
Wow, you get a lot of stuff for the money. The case is good quality, all leather, and dresses up the unit quite nice. The bulletproff skin is excellent, it gives quite an armor to the display! The velcro closure in the back of the case is a bit too small, but it should be able to work for quite a while. The cutout in the bottom of the case (for the docking slot) is too small, so you have to push the docking pin a bit hard to get a good lock. The earplugs sound quite good for their size, although they will not stay in your ear (they are somewhat large for an "earplug") for too long, so they are somewhat useless as earplugs. The hard travel case is tough plastic on the outside, tough foam on the inside, and even accomodates the Sansa with the leather cover on it. It has a small netted pouch for extra memory cards.
Customer Review: Gets the Job Done Summary: 4 Stars
Picked this up since it has both a travel case as well as a form fitting leather case. The design is simple and fits the player well, with just a slight amount of slack, since it uses a velcro strap at the top. All the buttons can be accessed, except for the voice recorder, which to me really isn't an issue, maybe so for others. The carrying case is well built with plenty of padding and the provided lanyard & cleaning cloth work well.
Pros: Fit, form, and protection are good, cleaning cloth and lanyard are good quality.
Cons: Pouch inside carrying case cannot hold much as it will push down on the screen with anything more than the cleaning cloth.
Overall this case combo is not to bad a deal for under $20, worth the price to protect your investment.
Customer Review: Great value! Worth the cost ($15) Summary: 5 Stars
I found this same package in stores for twice the amount. I too use the soft leather case for the mp3 player regularly, but it does make using the buttons a bit challenging as mentioned. I too had problems putting on my screen protector. I messed it up by getting my finger prints on it and then I could not get the air bubbles out. I bought a screen protector for the ipod video at Walmart for $5 and cut a piece out to fit my e260 unit. I have enough left over for 2 or 3 more protectors if needed. I mainly wanted a hard case to stuff in to my pc laptop bag or backpack when traveling and not damage my e260 which this hard case will do wonderfully. The soft leather case that fits snugly around the e260 for everyday carrying around is a nice bonus.
Customer Review: Great Case for the Sansa E200 series Summary: 5 Stars
This case is well worth the money. It actually comes with 4 items: an outer protective zipper case; a nice leather case for the actual player, a nice lanyard/ and a clear plastic protector applique for the screen. The last item is "OK" but really not a big plus. Overall the outer case is very nice and foam lined inside to hold the player well. A net side pocket in the case makes for a good ear bud holder or whatever, just realize there is not much room after the player is in the outer case.
I had a clear plastic case I purchased that lasted until the first drop. That should not be a problem with this one. Sansa player cases are few and far between (compared with IPOD), but this one is really worth purchasing.
