I bought this for my wife but I end up using it myself all the time. It's tiny, fits in any pocket and the battery life is great. The best thing about Sansa players is the ability to load it directly without the need of a specific program. It will interface with Windows Media player if you like to make playlists but it also gives you the option to open the memory like a USB drive and delete and load music without the hassle of clicking and un-clicking tiny little boxes.
The sound quality is ok, nothing special. It's a cheap, quality music player for people who just want a music player and don't care about video or expensive features they will probably never use. Recommended.

I bought this player for my 8 year old niece to replace her Sansa Shake which she loved. If you are purchasing this player for a child, I would recommend getting the rubber protective case - the player's been dropped a couple of times but still works -not sure that would be true without the rubber case. The player is very compact and the pink is cute. My niece loves it but surprisingly still prefers the Shaker which had an external speaker and two headphone ports. Getting started was a hassle because the player WOULD NOT CHARGE via USB. Luckily I had bought the accessory kit (arrived a couple of day later) that included a wall charger. Wonderful MP3 - and I'm glad to report there's a "Delete Song" feature on the Music Options on the menu (unlike earlier SanDisk models). Very convenient to delete those few tracks that come pre-programmed on this player! It doesn't weigh much, so it does not pull itself off my shirt when clipped to the hem. I use this mainly on the treadmill and it's fabulous - lightweight and doesn't bounce around. Some reviewers don't like the length of the included USB cable (they say it's too short).... but since the player weighs so little, having it hang off the computer while adding tracks or charging isn't a problem. It doesn't put undue pressure on the port or anything like that. Overall, I love it!Customer Review: Low cost, good value.

Purchased for my younger (6 yr old) daughter, on the advice of a friend who uses his while doing yard work. I have one of the e280 series Sansa players, and the operation is similar for both, although the Clip has fewer options, so it's easy enough for my child to navigate. The PC interface is simple too... USB cable to my desktop PC running Windows Media Player. Instructions are easy to understand, and we were dragging music files onto the Sansa Clip in no time. The included earphones are nothing special (foam slip-on covers for the ear pieces, which I hate), so I got her a set of Gummy earphones (w/silicon ear pieces) for less than $10. Set up is very easy, getting music onto player is also very easy. For the price this is a great gadget. My kids both have a Sansa brand of MP3 player so when I was looking for 1 for myself, I started with the Sansa brand. It is very small and lightweight and a good fit in your front jeans pocket. Sound is much better than I expected. I did buy a different pair of buds--skull candybrand as replacement--as the ones that came with this were large enough that after a 30 minute period of time they become uncomfortable. for me, but maybe I just have small ears. Highly recommend this product. Have owned for 30+ days and have had not problems at all. Battery life is very good as well.
