Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk SDSDH-1024-901 1 GB Ultra II Secure Digital Memory Card (Retail Package)

Customer Review: Good performance - limited use
Summary: 4 Stars

My use of this SD card is limited at this time. Its primary purpose is for data sharing (I use it with a compact Lexar USB card reader). For the few times I have needed to copy files, it performs well. My secondary use will be with my digital camera. However, I have not tested it there yet. My goal was to get a higher throughput card to speed up the copy times for larger shared files on my laptop and also speed up the transfer time for images captured from my digital camera. The file xfer speeds are much improved from my older SanDisk SD card.

Customer Review: This card failed on me during vacation
Summary: 1 Stars

Basically, all my photos from my once in a lifetime trip to europe, ie. england and italy (including beautiful capri), were lost to me because the card failed. I tried to get ritz camera to recover, they sent to their special facilities to try to recover. It was unrecoverable. I cannot ever trust sandisk after this major dissapointment. Needless to say, I do not recommend sandisk. I will be buying lexar for my next memory card. Just look at the number of 1 star reviews for this product and you will know not to take the risk.

Customer Review: Best buy for your Pocket PC
Summary: 5 Stars

Í have been using a Sandisk 1GB SD (the standard)since i buy it some months ago, the big space was so good to store music and videos, turning my POCKET PC into an IPOD killer; BUT i can't store maps for pocketstreets or anything that requieres frequent reading, the memory works but is so slow. BUT NOW Recently i brought the Ultra II version, and replace my SD card, and everythings runs faster i can store my maps in my sd card and they work as they where in ram, the ebooks run so faster, i recommend fervently.

Customer Review: Lots of of space...reasonable speed
Summary: 4 Stars

i havesn't had a chance to attempt to fill the card yet...Spent a weekend shooting at a family reunion and took 273 pictures and the thing is only about half full. I have read other complaints about the speed at which it takes to write to the card when shooting at multiple frames per second...I find that the only delay I have is when I keep my flash on. Time delay results from flash recharge and not the memory disc. With the flash off, I can get multiple frames per second with no problem. (shooting with a Nikon D50)

Customer Review: Ultra II is 60X write speed, 66X read speed
Summary: 4 Stars

Not sure why SanDisk hides the speed rating of this card on the back of the package in small print, but this card has a 60X write speed (9MB/second), and 66X read speed (10MB/second).

The increase in write speed while taking pictures was noticeable with a Canon PowerShot SD400 (a 5 megapixel camera with image sizes of about 3MB set at highest quality).

This large card can hold over 300 pictures for my PowerShot.

So no problems with the card, but it's only a few days old.
