I've been using this card since September 2005 (9 months so far) in my Canon Powershot S2IS. I'm almost to 10,000 photos taken in all types of weather/climates, from the salty sea air at the beach to the dry air of the desert; freezing winter, light rain and heatwaves.
My honest opinion is that this is a good card and I believe the rating here is the result of a vocal minority with defective cards (defects happen in electronics). People are quick to post complaints but hardly ever success stories. Just keep this in mind when reading these reviews.

Like all electronic products, there is a probability of failure. For just a chip, the failure rate should be low, very low. I read comments about people failed to have the card operate normally (20/400), I believe it's because of the user, not the product. When I first insert it into my laptop, it malfunctioned, system saying it's not formatted and can't format it. I took it out and plugged it in again. Format it and write files in. No problem. I can't explain what happened. For a chip, don't expect too much and have confidence, backup well and good to go.Customer Review: My only card

I got the Nikon D40, and picked this card to use in it. I didn't realize exactly what it was, or how great it was until I started to use it. I had read that it is faster than the other cards. Some of my friends who shoot in RAW say how long it takes to transfer designs from the card to the computer. NOT TRUE! The pictures write to the card quickly, which is important while taking them. It transfers pictures very fast, which is excellent while you are sitting around and waiting.
Over all, it is a super card and well worth the money.

For those that are purchasing this card for the Panasonic Lumix FX01 Digital Camera, rest assured that the card works perfectly. I've been using it since I purchased my camera many months ago and I've never had a single problem with it.
Given that I only use the card in my camera and it worked perfectly, I have absolutely no complaints. I cannot comment on whether the card works with other camera models or media readers. Please be sure to research this product to be sure it works with your device before making a blind purchase.

The Canon sd800is comes with a 16mb sd card. This is way far too dinky. So I looked around and researched. Wow! There are a lot of sd cards to choose from. I decided to get an ultra, with giga, not mega. A Sandisk 2Gb at the store was, with tax, $63.60. I looked and compared, and finally went with the ultra II from Adorama Camera through Amazon at a price of $36.15 total. I am so happy I got this, cause not only can you take LOTS of snaps, but also huge movies. Works seamlessly with my hp printer. An honest review by Jon Bringard.
