Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk SDSDH-002G-A11 2GB/15MB Ultra II SD CardCustomer Review: High Performance Card Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a firm believer in Sandisk memory and this card doesn't fail to impress.
I've upgraded from a Sandisk 1GB 'sandard' sd card to this one in my Canon Powershot S2 IS and the performance gain is astounding.
I expected it to perform better, but not as good as it is now.
The S2 shooting at 5 Megapixels with a standard sd card, locks up the camera for about 3 seconds after the shutter is pressed.
With the Ultra II, the camera is released almost immediately.
It is hard to believe, i don't even get the 'busy' black screen anymore between shots. It's also greatly improved movie capture as well, resulting in smoother video and no droppped frames.
This card does exactly what Sandisk said it would. Phenomenal.
Customer Review: Great card for compatible cameras Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using SanDisk Ultra II cards in all my cameras for years, and all have worked perfectly. However, I sadly determined through trial-and-error testing that my Canon SD400 is NOT compatible with this 2 GB card. I have not tested this camera with any other 2 GB SD cards, however. After shooting hundreds of photos just fine, I began to receive the famous Canon memory card error (just look this up for the Canon S400 series). I pulled apart the camera looking for a way to disconnect the backup battery, but never found it. Anyway, I threw in my old 1 GB Ultra II card and everything has worked perfectly since. The 2 GB card still works perfectly in my computer's card reader. Just a word of warning for Canon SD400 owners.
Customer Review: No Faster in My Cameras Summary: 5 Stars
I have tested this SD card in my Panasonic and Kodak cameras and it is not faster than the standard Sandisk SD cards. I tried taking as many pictures as I could in a minute with the Ultra card and the standard card and the speed was the same.
My Panasonic camera also has a "burst" mode. Testing in this mode also showed no difference between the two card types.
Next I tested the write speed on my desktop computer.
Standard SD card 3.45 MB/second
Ultra SD card 8.25 MB/second
So the Ultra card really is much faster than the standard card. However for some reason, I didn't see any improvement in my cameras.
Thanks

Customer Review: Have 2 of these and never had problems Summary: 5 Stars
I have two of these card for use with my Nikon D40 DSLR and I have not had any problems with them. The write speed is excellent: I use continuous shooting in RAW format (larger file size than standard jpeg) when I attend sporting events and my camera performs up to specs with these cards. The transfer process was quick as well - I just plug my camera into the USB port and Adobe Lightroom transfers the images in no time at all.
I've seen reviews about the lack of reliability regard this but and have yet to have any of those problems. I've stored and transferred numerous images on these cards without a hitch. In fact, this card was highly recommended by professional photographers.
Customer Review: SanDisk Rocks! See my other recent January 2008 Reviews! Summary: 5 Stars
Excerpt - January 2008 - This SD Card was added to the Canon Digital 760IS
SANDISK has always been my ONLY top-of-the-line Compact Flash (CF) resource!
Their CF products are basically 'Bullet-Proof'!
As a pro photographer, over the years, I have assembled a 'Junk Yard', that is littered with other product lines that have been totally inferior, period.
Besides considering all of their Outstanding attributes , that I have just covered (Jan) in another review, these CF Cards are just a lot of Bang for your buck. Beware of 'Imitations'!!!!
And NO, I'm not nor have I ever been compensated in any form or manner by
SanDisk. I'd love to own the company, though!
