Customer Review: A RARE mistake turns into a BOON!!!

I ordered this SD Memory Card through Amazon from Portable Guy. I own an older Samsung Digital Camera (only 3.2MP)and the instructions state that it would hold "up-to" 256MB SD Card. When my order arrived, I found that Portable Guy had sent me a 512MB Card. I was doubtful that my camera would accept it. To my suprise, it worked fine. I had sent a seller feedback stating that they had got the order wrong, and they quickly and efficiently called me to rectify the situation. Since I was getting MORE memory for the price, I opted to retain the SD Card. I have to report that Amazon does buisness with very reputable companies, and I would order from Portable Guy now without hesitation!!

The SD memory card was designed by the consortium of Matsushita Electric (Panasonic), SanDisk and Toshiba and is now supported by the SD Association, an open industry standard organization comprised of over 500 members. The SD card is ideally suited to meet the demands of small portable devices that need high capacity flash memory in a very small size.SanDisk's 256 MB Secure Digital (SD) memory card includes a high-performance, 9-pin SD interface that enables data transfer rates of up to 10 MBps. Its proprietary interface commands facilitate the secure exchange of content between host devices, such as PCs and music servers, and the card itself. The security level provided in the SD memory card has been designed to comply with current and projected SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) portable device requirements.
