I've been using 128MB SD card for quite a few months now and had different devices with me all the time. Camera with SD card for pictures, Mobile phone (treo 650) with with SD Card and another flash mp3 player.
Recently upgraded to this 1GB card and now I can interchange this with camera, phone and my laptop (HP NC600) also which has a build in SD reader.
All in all, a great buy. I remember buying 1GB Flahs memory 1 year ago for $98. And this is just $50.
When you are buying any electronics, just keep in mind different storage options they have and try to interchange as much as possible. I know it doesn't relate much to this particular card, but applied to electronics in general. Now which this card, I could use my cell phone as a camera, mp3 player, ebook reader, immediately transfer data/audio/video to other devices, just amazing.
The performance with the computer has been resonable, Never had a problem in trasnferring data back and forth.
Worth the money, and the technology is widely accepted too (as long as you don't use Sony :)

I ordered this 1GB SD card along with a memory card reader from Blue Proton. My orders were processed promptly, my money accepted and the orders both shipped. The SD card was given a tracking number by Amazon; the second product, the card reader, was not given tracking info.
I was notified that both items were shipped, and then those items vanished into thin air.
This memory card was tracked by the USPS shipping system and my post office insists that it was delivered. I'm certain that I was home that day and heard no postal deliverer and found no package at my door. So even with tracking info I could do nothing to recover my package, then, since the PO says it was delivered.
The memory card reader, also from Blue Proton, was never delivered nor heard from again by the USPS.
Contacted Blue Proton via Amazon twice for help; no reply both times from Blue Proton.
Amazon did eventually refund the price of the SD card, minus shipping & handling.
I wouldn't ever recommend Blue Proton as a vendor after such shabby treatment.

I would like to start by letting you know that this is my first time ever writing a review for anything. I just placed another order for my second card and could not resist making a comment when I read some of the reviews. I bought my first card months ago and it has never "fried" on me like some of the reviews say. I think that it is kind of sad to rate a product because of how long a rebate takes. Rating should be based on the PRODUCT. I have a Kodak Easy Share camera and have over 700 pictures and several videos with my first card alone. I have downloaded, deleted, copied, reused...everything that you can do with this card and it works great. If you are looking for a 1 MB card and want a great PRODUCT, you should not hesitate to purchase this. If you are one of those people who are looking for a great REBATE (and will rate this a one star regardless of the quality of the product itself) buy something cheaper that gets a low rating for the quality and therefore you would not have to worry yourself so much about waiting the regular 6to 8 weeks for a rebate.Customer Review: Kodak camera owners take note...

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR KODAK CAMERA OWNERS: In July 2006, I replaced a SanDisk regular SD card like this one with a SanDisk Ultra II card for my Kodak DX7590, because I was hoping that it would allow my camera to write high-quality 5MP pictures faster. But to my surprise, it timed exactly the same. So I emailed Kodak, and this was their response: "We appreciate your interest in high speed memory for your digital camera. Our cameras are designed to operate, write and read SD cards at set voltage speeds. Therefore, there is no advantage to using faster memory in Kodak cameras."
So if you use a Kodak dock or USB cable to transfer images from a Kodak camera to your computer, this standard SanDisk card is all you need...there's no advantage to paying extra for a high-speed card like the Ultra II. However, if you use a card reader to get images from the SD card to your computer, then it might be worthwhile to pay a little more for the Ultra II since read and write speeds through the card reader could be substantially faster.
