Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk SDCFX4-4096 4GB Extreme IV CompactFlash CardCustomer Review: Great Card, Fast Summary: 5 Stars
I've used SanDisk Extreme CF cards since I got a digital SLR. I've put over 20,000 images through the card and not a problem. The really fast write speed allows the camera's buffer to empty faster, letting you get the next sequence.
4GB seems to be a sweet spot for CF cards. It is not to small that you have to swap cards as much and it is not too big that you risk corruption.
When coupled with SanDisk Extreme USB 2.0 card reader, 500 RAW images can be dumped in about 2 minutes.
I liked my first one so much, I bought four more!
Customer Review: great card combo wih my canon 40D Summary: 5 Stars
I agree with with the positive comments posted earlier. This card is great, and definitely keeps pace with the High FPS in burst mode with the various formats of JPEG and RAW.
I liked the card so much I am getting another one :).
I also picked up the Sandisk Extreme USB 2.0 Reader. The packaging says for extreme III but works just fine with Extreme IV CF cards. I was able to transfer about 1.5 gigs of pictures in about 1.5 minutes to external storage. Very small and also fits nicely in the camera bag.
Customer Review: Sandisk is exceptional. Summary: 5 Stars
Sandisk is Exceptional. Always have been for me all the years I have used them. Never had a failure or error. never had one wear our or break. I use them TONS. I have taken over 40,000 photos and between the 3 sandisks I have none of them are any slower, have had any errors, or have broken. I take them out of my camera and put them in a card reader every time I put pictures on my computer. If you can imagine.. I've done that quite a few times. they are VERY DURABLE CARDS!...Highly Recommend them over others.
Customer Review: Awesome compact flash card for your DSLR Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this to replace a 512MB Compact Flash that came with my Olympus Evolt-510 and it is awesome. I doubt my Olympus could even come close to pushing this thing to what it is capable of from a speed perspective but for the price difference I wanted to make sure the Compact Flash was not a bottle neck when I am shooting sequential shots. The recovery software works great. I can feel comfortable deleting real-time on the camera knowing I have the option to undelete if I actually fat finger a keeper.
Customer Review: The Best Summary: 5 Stars
When I first went to digital I tried several different cards, after about a year Every card besides SanDisk had errored. I have the Cannon EOS family of cameras that shoots between 8 and 21 megapixels, and have used the cards in all conditions from sand to extreme cold and have never had a problem. But they may all blow up tomorrow.SanDisk 4 GB Extreme IV CompactFlash Card ( SDCFX4-4096-901 )
