I purchased this card last July primarily to use with the Nintendo DS flash card reader R4. Now, there are many problems with 2 gig Micro SD cards when it comes to compatibility and read/write speeds. The card played any DS game I loaded (even "problem" games that have issues with most 2 gig micro SD cards). Also, I worked with Samsung for the last 3 months, and there were compatibility issues with nearly every 2 GB micro SD card and the cell phones, however my Sandisk worked great in every single model phone I tested. I was incredibly impressed with the card.
Until tonight. I inserted the card into a Micro SD > USB adapter and my computer wouldn't recognize it. Then I tested it with the DS, and it still would not recognize the card. I am not sure if it was the "abuse" i put the card through switching between so many different products, but I don't see how that would "wear" it out after 5 months. The card itself does not look physically damaged in any way, and I'm somewhat disappointed that the card just decided to quit on me.
So now begins my journey through SanDisk customer support. I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done at this point or if the 1 year limited warranty even covers this kind of issue, but we'll see. If the issue can be resolved by support I will edit this review and definitely give the product 5 stars.

This was a great price for 2 GB of storage for my Samsung D807. Oddly, you have to put the card in "upside down" for most of Samsung... that is, contact facing UP.
Don't have a use for the adapter, but I'm sure it works as good as the memory card.
In any case, I bought mine from Straight Trading. No problems. Item arrived well, and worked as soon as I plugged it in. Fully Sandisk, it came in the Retail packaging. All they do is send it to you, the rest is up to USPS. :) I was worried because it was sooo cheap. But, I took the risk. I found out there IS NO risk. Buy it cheap, wait for USPS to deliver it, and BAM. Straight Trading sent it right out.
MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE is COMPATIBLE WITH THE AMOUNT OF MEMORY you PURCHASE! :) It isn't their fault if you buy the wrong stuff!!! If you do, don't be like the rest of the people around here, and give them a bad rating because you didn't pay attention to the features of YOUR device. They didn't say it would work with your device, they simply sold you a 2 GB MicroSD card from SanDisk (that works!!!), so if YOU want to complain, call up tech support for YOUR MOBILE DEVICE, and tell them YOU are an idiot!!!

I have used this card for years with my Motorola KRZR K1 Unlocked Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Cosmic Blue) and have absolutely loved it. I used my cell phone as a primary MP3 player, and the capacity of this card was sufficient for most of my everyday needs. I have also had a chance to use this card with ContourHD 1080p by VholdR ' Full HD Helmet Camera and it worked perfectly with that device as well. I still find it incredible that it is possible to store this much information in such a small form factor. The only problem with the size is that it is not easy to transfer documents directly to most computers, as it's still pretty rare for them to have a MicroSD card readers. I just transfered most of the files by attaching the devices that the card was placed in directly to the computer. Also, because of its small size, the card is relatively easy to misplace and should probably be kept in a larger case.Customer Review: Ok - but serious design flaws

This card was recognized by my mobile phone right away, and the added storage capacity is helpful. However, my PC would not recognize the card when it's in the adapter, which isn't helpful in allowing me to transfer files (photos, video, mp3s) between the two, which defeats the purpose of my needing larger storage for extra mp3s and photos.
This card also suffers from very poor user design. The micro sd is tiny as expected, but when it slides into the adapter, it becomes virtually impossible to remove. I'm a small woman, with small hands and fingers, and it took me at least 15 minutes each time to remove it (I kept trying to make sure I wasn't inserting it incorrectly) with great difficulty. Twice I got it out by chance, and the last time I had to find tweezers to pull the thing out. That the adapter and the card itself feels like flimsy plastic isn't helpful as I was afraid I was damaging the card and/or the adapter in the process.
While I'm sure the average user will be able to get the storage they need out of the card, there is much room for improvement in this product to make it one I would highly recommend.

MicroSD is one of the newest memory cards on the market today. Currently available up to sizes of 4GB, MicroSD is the smallest consumer memory card available. They are smaller and thinner then a penny. I got my MicroSD card for my cellphone, so I can store some MP3s on it. It does it's job very well, it transfer data at reasonable speeds and it is very small. The current price of MicroSD cards isn't bad but you are paying a small premium for it's size. One thing I don't like about MicroSD cards is the fact that it is very flimsy. They can easily be broken, which means you need to be careful about putting it in your pocket or laying it on a desk. I've never had any problems with it though, so you should be fine if you are careful. One cool thing about MicroSD is they can be used with other SD slots. SanDisk includes a SD converter which allows you to use the MicroSD card in SD card slots, which are common in digital cameras. This is great for someone who wants to "future proof" their memory cards. Overall I highly recommend the Sandisk 2GB MicroSD card.
