The gf has an '08 Honda Civic with a card slot beside the CD slot. I bought this compact flash card along with the following SanDisk Compact Flash (CF) to PC Card adapter:

I use a universal card reader that came with my digital camera to load mp3s onto the CF card shown in the link.
It works great. The touch screen on the car's dashboard allows us to browse folders and sub-folders. The card holds thousands of songs. We have lots of our favorite music in the dashboard of the car now.

This is a great product and very well worth the price......Great for me in that my Sony R-1 gobbles up space at 10.3 MP...some raw files can exceed 30 Mb for 1 pic. I can get 153 pics on 4Gb....My wife took 2 of them down to the Galapagos Islands and doesn't have to drag her notebook with her to download pics....Same holds true for Central and S America...No need to drag your laptop into the Jungle.....Just this fine CF...If you're getting a big MP camera, don't waste your time on any smaller cards....You'll be glad you got this one at 133x transfer speeds and rugged to boot.......Customer Review: Big space, big savings

What can I say, a little over 2 years ago, I bought a 1gb CF card for nearly $100. NOW I can get a 4gb cf sandisk card for under $100! The card has been running well. With my 8mp Canon Kiss N (350D) I can get well over 900 shots on large jpeg size, and around 400 shots shooting in RAW. This was certainly one of the better bargains I have come across! I recommend to anyone who needs more space for the their digital cameras. The 8gb and higher cards arn't compatible with all cmaeras, plus have a tendency to crash whiel the 4gb is running compatible with nearly all cameras!Customer Review: Extreme?

Don't really know if this is extreme or not but I've had a number of professional photographers tell me that this card can take a real shock and still keep it's integrity. Hopefully I'll never find out.
I can say that it is fast and, as far as I've used it, a good card. Never settle for cheap memory when it comes to your photos if you're even halfway serious about it.

The Extreme III CF cards from Sandisk claim to be able to take on extreme temperature conditions, along with fast performance. These latest edition work as advertised. We have several 2GB versions (which are a little faster) which also have worked flawlessly for us. The cards are a little more expensive than other brands, but we think it's worth it for the performance and the little extras (like RescuePro data recovery software). We have to feel confident in the flash cards we use.
UPDATE: We've also used 8GB and 12GB versions of this card to date.
