I bought this for my Canon 40D and it works excellent. I have had good use out of all my CF cards - never had one fail yet, but the speed is a huge factor as I found out the hard way. I had the Canon 300D (Rebel) and thought that I was limited to it's 3 shot per second firing rate, where I took 3 shots in quick succession and had to wait until finished catching up. Of course while it had it's mouth full and I was waiting for it to chew and swallow, I would inevitably lose a number of other good shots that appeared unexpectedly. Frustrating for sure, but then I got an Ultra 2 CF card for the same camera and was amazed at how much of a difference it made. You will be happy with this product even with an older model camera. It's difficult to review this storage device after only a couple weeks, but at this point the write and read speed seems to perform in the manner ScanDisk indicated. I am completely satisified with longivity to be determined. I utilize this compact flash in my Olympus E-520 with picture setting at LSF (Large Super Fine). At this setting the 4 GB compact flash will provide around 550 pictures. More than I will personally take at any given time. The write time is not a factor in taking pictures nor is the download time required to transfer them to my computer. The average picture size is 6/7 MB, but this card transfers at 30 MB/S. As Usual, Amazon and its parteners did a great job of getting me my product in better than usual time and in great condition.Customer Review: No regrets!

I purchased this card because I was going on vacation and wouldn't be able to drop the pictures down to my computer for a few days. The first thing I noticed was the fact that it holds more pictures than my Digital Rebel XTi can register. The counter showed 999 for the first 150+ pictures.
The card is super fast. If you need to take a lot of pictures in succession with speed being important, you can't go wrong with this card.
In the past, I purchased a Kingston CompactFlash Card and it died after a short period of time. I switched to SanDisk and I'm on my 4th card (for 3 cameras) with no trouble from any of them.
I could not be happier! I would give it more stars if I could. Buy with confidence.
Customer Review: Nice Big Memory Card but Slow

I have several 1 and 2 Gig Ultra II cards that seem rather peppy in comparison to the Extreme III 4 Gig. What buying the larger memory card gets you is convenience from having to swap out memory cards as much. What it doesn't get you is better performance. I'm surprised if not a little disappointed that their Extreme III line was outperformed by their Ultra II line.
That said, SanDisk touts that this is a more reliable card. Reliability is important. Having lost nearly a gig of photos to both off-brand and known brand-name cards and dealing with the frustrations of hours and hundreds of dollars for software to retrieve items off a damaged card, slowness is an inconvenience worth dealing with if the media is robust.

What can I say that hasn't already? Perhaps I should mention that in the small print on the package this is a 133X speed compact flash. I've been using this in my new Canon 30D and have been getting excellent battery life and excellent performance. If I want to I can snap at the camera's maximun shooting rate for up to 1 minute which is about 200 pictures.
Transfer is equally fast. I can transfer many large pictures to my laptop using a SanDisk Imagemate USB2.0 CF reader in just seconds.
It's been reliable thus far but I've only been using it for a few weeks.
Nothing to complain about, it's just an amazing value for the price. Buy it now with no regrets!
