Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Extreme HD Video 8 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRX3-8192-A21Customer Review: Superb Performance!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the Sandisk Extreme III 8GB SDHC card a month ago and it works very well with my Nikon D80. I love the card's high performance on my DSLR. Everything in the product description is true. I never regret buying this card instead of the 4GB. I am now able to capture more pictures using JPEG fine or NEF(RAW) format.
Sandisk cards are extemely reliable and made of high quality. It comes with a image files recovery cd just in case you lost your data inside the card but I have never tested it. The downside is that the card is pricey but it is worth it.
Highly Recommended!!!
Customer Review: Why risk your memories on anything else? Summary: 5 Stars
I use this card for 1080p on my Canon DSLR. The camera's buffer never backs up, indicating this card is FAST. I have used Sandisk cards for several years and have never had a problem. (I can't say the same for cheaper cards) Your SDHD card is equivilant to film. Did you buy bargain film and have it developed at the cheapest place in town? If not, why would you buy a cheap SDHD card. This card came in a box with a coupon for a free 1-year subscription for RescuePRO. (recovers data from erased and damaged cards) You can not go wrong buying a Sandisk card!
Customer Review: When buffer-clearance is crucial, this card is golden. Summary: 5 Stars
The quickest of the four cards I bought with my Nikon D80, over a year ago, was a Lexar x60. It allows the buffer of my camera to clear a maximum burst of 7 .nef files with a 7-9 second lag, depending upon the complexity of the scene photographed.
This SanDisk card reduces that (7-image) buffer-clearing downtime to 4 seconds. That 3-5 second gain in utility of the camera is worth every penny I paid. It's particularly valuable when I'm shooting birds in flight after waiting several hours for the window of opportunity to open.
Customer Review: Too Early to Tell. Hopefully OK or better!! Summary: 3 Stars
I order what I thought was the SanDisk Extreme III 8 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRX3-8192-A21. What the card and packaging I received says is SanDisk Extreme HD Video 8 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card SDSDRX3-8192-A21. So is it the class 6 or 10; not sure; but so far it seems to be working and will be using it a lot at the end of May. I also bought a 4gb SanDisk Ultra class 4 at my local store so between the two cards I'm hoping all will be fine?!!
Will update my review after using it a while!
Customer Review: Class 6 - Fast Enough Summary: 5 Stars
I was very tempted to buy the latest and greatest Class 10 card (30 MB/sec read/write speed). But I took a chance that the old (and much cheaper) Class 6 card (20 MB/sec) card could keep up with my new digital camera. And it could, even when taking long HD movies in low light, the cache never overflows. I'm sure there are other applications (video cams?) which need that higher speed. But it looks like a Class 10 is serious overkill for most digital cameras. If you can find a Class 6, buy it and it will serve you well.
