Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Extreme 16 GB SDHC Class 10 Memory Card (SSDSDX3-016G-A31)Customer Review: Super fast and perfect for my Canon EOS T1i Summary: 4 Stars
This card is a must of you have a HD video recording device. Such is the case with my Canon EOS Rebel T1i. What I noticed right away is that if you don't use a type 6 SD card, you'll run into issues while recording a lenghthy video. This line from Sandisk is actually recommended by Canon within the owners manual. And it works perfectly. I can record in 1080P at 20FPS or 720P at 30FPS, with no issues what so ever. I picked up this for less then what it's currently being sold for, so you may want to wait until it becomes a better value.
Based on my experience and use, I would definitely recommend this for use with HD video cameras. It's worked perfectly for me.
Customer Review: Great speed for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 Summary: 5 Stars
I've had the camera for a few years now - and somehow lost my hi speed card which I had in it.
Purchased this card a few weeks ago and went on a photo shoot. Excellent speed and great results. No lag in burst shooting and no lag in clicking away. Most definitely and highly recommended.
FWIW: I also transferred music from my old laptop to my new netbook and this card helped carry a ton of music back and forth!
I believe the price is right - but who knows when similar 64GB or 1TB cards show up??? Then perhaps the price may be a bit high - but what price for something you need and it works?
Customer Review: A requirement for the SLR cameras Summary: 5 Stars
I tried many different speeds SDHC and even this one definitely allowed my CANON XSI to perform better in allow me to snap more shots instead of waiting for the SDHC to get ready.
Though it's extremely pricey, you really get what you pay for in this case.
I never know how I did without the performance of this card.
SANDISK is definitely a need if you have a high performance or even a beginner SLR.
If you have a slower camera like those point and shoot ones, you might want to look at the Speed Class 6 or speed class 4 ones.
Customer Review: PRICE GOUGING - Up 12% in *ONE* WEEK!!! Summary: 1 Stars
DIGITAL MEDIA SOURCE PRICE GOUGES!!! They increased the price by 11.988% in just *ONE* WEEK!!!
On 12/15/2010, I paid $87.50 each for 5 SanDisk 16 GB Extreme 30MB/s edition SDHC High Performance media cards. Today, exactly 7 days later, they are $97.99. That's over $10 increase EACH in just *ONE* WEEK!!!
My Dad died after I bought them and I used one up to video his funeral, so I was going to buy more to replace it.
I am VERY disappointed in Digital Media Source's outrageous increase in just *ONE* WEEK!!!
Customer Review: Fast, big, and reliable, but check whether you'd gain from the card before buying Summary: 5 Stars
The card is big, reliable, and fast per the specs & the SanDisk brand name.
The card's speed would be useful in two cases - faster shoot rate when the camera can write 200x in continuous shooting, or faster download to computer when the card reader can read 200x.
Unless you checked either camera or card reader to go beyond 100x (e.g. Canon 450D does 100x top, see card readers in another review), a 16GB SanDisk Ultra II card would be a better deal - you'll get the same performance & card size for less than half the price.
