Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk Docking Station for Sansa c200 and e200 Series PlayersCustomer Review: could have more features Summary: 3 Stars
overall I'd have to say that i still like this product, it's the only one so far that comes with a remote, but the lack of scroll wheel use on the remote, the volume is a little sensitive, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
just some ideas, it would have been cool if they had put a scroll wheel on the remote that acted as the players.
this one is far off, but whenever you put the remote back in the stand it could charge it, so you don't have to replace those small batteries
now, one thing i don't like is that you don't know what song is playing when your not looking at the screen or are too far away to see it
but as i said i'm still content with this product, maybe they could release an improved version
Customer Review: Easy to use straight from the box Summary: 5 Stars
I have a Sandisk Sansa e200 MP3 player. I bought this dock 2 years ago. This device made it very easy to turn my MP3 player into a mini stereo to use in my kitchen. The dock cradles the MP3 player snugly and has a remote control that allows me to change the volume, radio stations or mp3 songs from across the room. The sound quality depends on the speakers you use. I use a pair of computer speakers from one of my old computers. Its very compact and sounds GREAT. You can achieve the same set up without this dock, but the dock charges the mp3 player and allows you to quickly grab the mp3 player to use on a walk or in another room where you have another set of computer type speakers, ear buds or headphones.
Customer Review: Device fills my needs Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this device to basically serve as a recharger for my Sansa e280R (so I wouldn't have to be dependant upon my computer as my only recharging device), and to use on occasion when I want to play my music over my home stereo system. It performs both functions very well. It also includes a remote control device that is nice, but its functions are pretty basic. Beyond being able to turn the unit on or off or control the volume remotely, you can only navigate between songs on a particular playlist/channel, but not between the playlists or channels themselves. But for me, the remote control was just a nice added attraction, and really played no role in my decision to buy the device in the first place.
Customer Review: Great little unit for my simple needs. Summary: 5 Stars
Hooked it up to the family room stereo, put a couple thousand of my favorite tunes on the Sansa, set the Sansa on "shuffle" and "repeat," and turn it on whenever there's nothing on TV.
Remote works fine from across the room and through the glass of the stereo cabinet.
Unit fits well right beside the receiver - takes up *very* little space.
You might want to make sure the mp3's you put on the Sansa for use with the dock are high bit rate - I have some that I ripped with as high quality as possible and some I didn't, and I can tell the difference through the stereo speakers. Obviously this is not a slur on the dock or the Sansa - just a piece of information.
Customer Review: Great to have. Must own if you own a Sansa e series player. Summary: 4 Stars
I must admit- this item is very limited in function, and you may have to download an update to your player as I did to make it work. But this item is great because it hooks up so easily to my large stereo system and we can dance without the cd player skipping or changing cds all the time. And the charging funtion is wonderful. It displays that the unit is charging and then shuts itself off when charging is complete. Our household has 5 Sansas and charging them is a breeze. Another plus is the compact size of the remote and the built in storage dock for the remote. No doubt they will have updates available for this unit in the very near future too.
