The first time I took my wet clothes out of the washing machine and saw my 4 GB San Disk Cruzer sitting on the bottom, I nearly cried. $24 down the tubes, I thought to myself. For the heck of it, I shook out the water from the USB plug and stuck a piece of paper towel in there and ensured that it was dry. Lo, and Behold! - To my utter amazement, the Cruzer worked just fine in my 8 year old computer, with NO problems. Over the past year, I've found the same Cruzer in the bottom of the washing machine a total of three times, and it's still performing flawlessly. It is now plugged into my Netgear N600 Wireless Router as a poor-man's share drive on my home network. I bought both this unit, and the 4GB San Disk "Titanium" Cruzer model, and both seem to be equally waterproof. Like all electronic drives, if you exceed over 95% of the total storage space on the drive, you can corrupt the entire drive, rendering your data totally unreadable and permanently unavailable. So buy WAY more storage space than you need. At these new lower prices, buy two!
