I have used this drive extensively for data storage / portability as well as with the Sandisk Companion for playing MP3 music. It is a very nice form factor and has withstood the ravages of time. I have bought several of these 512 Sandisk Cruzer Micros, and I don't think i could be happier. I think I will probably be getting one or two of the 1 GB as well soon.
I have an older computer, so it doesn't have as much storage to hold my videos, so these give me a place to send them off to after I'm finished making them. I've also used them to carry files to and from computer class, and I've never found them to malfunction.
Also, I've figured out a "fix" for the "losing the rubber sleeve" problem: When you first get your jump drive, write on the little white label on the side, your name, a title, whatever (I write a number, and in a notebook I write a list of what I have on that number drive.)
The little label area is small, so I advise writing with a very sharp pencil, and wiping off any graphite dust carefully with a napkin. Then cover this with a piece of scotch tape, just long enough to cover the white label area.
When you put the rubber sleeve back on, you will find that the tape makes it just snug enough to have it stay on. With the cap, just make sure you don't knock it around too much, perhaps a small bag made of felt or something.

I have bought a lot of goods from Amazon, and have generally been pleased. The advertisement of this SanDisc drive for .51 cents with a shipping charge of almost 6 dollars on EACH one of them is disingenuous and borders on hucksterism. I would not want to see Amazon head down that road. FYI, I initially ordered 10 of these drives, the charge would have been $5.10 plus reasonable shipping. However, with shipping it was over $65. Just wanted to say that I bought this flash drive about 3-4 years ago and it has been on my key chain ever since with the big cover on it. I work in IT so I have certain things I always need to have with me. This thing has been dropped in water, been in very dirty conditions, probably dropped and thrown my keys a million times with this thing on, been in snow, rain, mud, and whatever else. Never has let me down, always worked.
Only down side is that its only 512 meg
