I recently received this flash drive as a gift, and it is the smallest one I have ever seen. The design of it is what's really nice, it's clear and has a nice metallic color. You'll be amazed at how brilliant the LED lights up; not just a dinky little one like on most flash drives. I normally don't keep the USB cap on, so I can't really say whether it stays on well or not. My only complaint is about the keyring hook on the end of this drive. If they had made it just a MILLIMETER thicker, it would be fine, but as it is, it doesn't spin quite freely around the keychain. I am an owner of the Sandisk Cruzer Mini 1GB and I am absolutely satisfied with the performance and quality of the product except for some minor issues with the plastic covers becoming slack and falling off after a while. I recently Purchased this Cruzer Micro 512MB and it is just great. Very small and neatly designed to fit into about any USB port. The different coloured skins give a nice finish. Data Transfers are fast with USB 2.0 and overall Quality of the product is excellent. Sandisk Drives also come with encryption software to keep your stuff safe. Pros:
1. Extremely small - will definitely make people go wow
2. Have been using it for 4 months without any obvious problems
3. Worked out of the box with Windows XP, Debian Sarge and Windows 98 (after downloading the driver)
Cons:
1. Grows a bit hot if you fill the disc completely or keep it plugged in for too long.
2. Not specific to this model but copying 400MB will take more than 15 min.
Technical information:
Do remember 512MB is the raw space. Usable space is more like 500MB and if you exclude space for the software loaded on it then 490MB. But for the money it is a good bargain.

Who even needs 3.5 disks or the need to burn a CD everytime you have a file larger than 1.44mb? This 512mb does a great job of making your files portable. For work, photos, or for some MP3's for the office or on the go, it holds a lot.
As the other review points out, the Micro MP3 Companion is pretty basic. If you're thinking iPOD, don't even consider it...but if you'd like to have some tunes while working out, it's VERY compact, lightweight and the 512mb holds a lot of tunes to keep you moving.
Portability in (especially now) an affordable application and tunes to boot.
It's a great little product.

This Cruzer Micro has some pluses and minuses:
On the plus side, it is very small, and the LED is bright enough to help you notice it before you walk off. More than once, the LED reminded me to take it with me. The LED also doubles as an activity indicator.
On the minus side, the Micro lacks a write protect switch. This can be a drawback when you are trying to disinfect a virus ridden system. The other drawback are the very loose dust caps. Sandisk should offer a better dust cap and provide a free one to every owner. The current dust cap design is really poor. Be prepared to lose it within the first couple of uses.
