Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 8 GB Extreme III CF Card SDCFX3-008G-A31 (Retail Package)Customer Review: Fast and reliable Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this card to use with my Sony A350 camera. It has given me flawless performance and keeps up with continuous or burst mode while using jpeg mode. As a precaution (and according to the manufacturer's recommendations)- I always make it a point to delete the images on the card with the camera - not my computer and make sure the camera is off when changing cards and have experienced nothing but reliable performance to date.
Customer Review: This card rocks! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this card for several weeks now and I LOVE it! It's fast and seamless. I use it in my Canon 50D and shoot only RAW -- that's 15mp pix, and it's wonderful not to have to be changing cards every 10 minutes now. Plus it's my best card for the hi-speed continuous shutter, a big improvement over my Extreme III 4gb card. I haven't looked up the difference in the specs -- you'll have to do that math. I do the flowers!
Customer Review: Awesome - truly reliable CF card Summary: 5 Stars
I am a professional photographer & I have used many other CF cards. Usually CF cards are durable, however, I have seen the cards returning some errors such as "invalid format" or "Card read error".
SanDisk 8GB Extreme III never gave me any of those errors! I do use Canon 5D & 40D, & I shoot average 200 shots per week. I've never seen a single error!
Good job SanDisk, that's what I call Quaility!
Customer Review: Great CF Card Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great CF card. I've been using Sandisk cards for years and have never had a problem with any of them (CF and SD). If you shoot RAW, then you're going to need a good sized card that is fast. With a firewire CF reader, I can download a full card in less than 5 minutes, compared to 30 minutes with USB. I'm sure the Extreme IV is a great card as well, but for the money you can't beat this one.
Customer Review: fast, fast, fast CF card Summary: 5 Stars
Unlike the Ultra II, the Extreme III never slows down my photography no matter how many shots i take in quick succession. (My camera's a Canon EOS 5D). The Ultra II almost always makes me miss some 'perfect' shot (you know, when the otter finally dives right in front of you), but the Extreme III has never slowed me down or caused me to miss a shot. For this, it's definitely worth the extra $$$.
