For professional photography this product provides two key elements: peace of mind and time savings. Shooting raw+jpeg, each shot uses up about 20 megabytes. This 8GB card provides enough space for an entire photo shoot. More importantly, it offers the peace of mind that this high quality product has been well tested and the images are safe. While not as fast as the Extreme IV, this card is relatively quick, providing good read times required to offload the contents onto the hard disk. SanDisk support was also very responsive when I ran into a software issue.Customer Review: Good Card

I bought the 8.0GB in addition to the 2.0GB card for my 10 day trip. Works great as usual with my Olympus E500. At 8MP JPG setting it holds about 1200+ pictures. For $99 it was a great deal.
I took this card with me on my vacation. This card crashed? once. For unknow reason after a few days of use part of the picture files couldn't be recognized by my Olympus E-500. But when I load the card to the computer the files were there. I reformated the card. Hopefully doesn't happen again. This condition also occurred with my 2GB CF Extreme III card.

I own 3 of these cards and have never been let down. They are very fast and can hold much more than I expected. I have only ever filled one once...around 1300 photos and about half of those were RAW + JPEG with the rest simply JPEG.
When I purchased I was debating between a couple 8 GB, a 16 GB or multiple 4 GB cards. Ultimately this 8 GB card seemed the best value when you purchase 2-3...you get as much or more space than the 16 GB and you don't have to switch cards cards as much as a 4 GB or less.

I know SanDisk makes faster cards, but this is plenty for me and the price was right! Ya, I know about all the super rebate deals you hear about from Adorama or other retailers who offer 3 of these cards for a net price of $20 or so after huge rebates, but they make you wait forever to get that rebate and its in the form of a Visa gift card. I guess I need instant gratification and I don't mind spending my money with Amazon and paying more because I know I get the super service that comes with it. No strings attached. No forms to fill out. No time to wait.Customer Review: Fast, reliable card

I used to have 3 2GB card and shooting concerts always ran out of space and would have to switch cards. In addition my buffer would get full and I would have to wait for the camera to write the images to the card. With this card I have never run out of space yet, and the write speed is fast so I don't have to miss shots due to full buffer. Given the price of these is getting cheaper by the day I would definitely recommend this card. Oh and as bonus it comes with a little card wallet. If nothing else you can use it to keep spare change :)
