Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 2 GB SDSDX3-2048-901 Extreme III SD Memory Card (Retail Package)Customer Review: 2 GB SD Memory Summary: 5 Stars
The card works great; but I consider the buying experience deceitful. Amazon sent me a notice that the product would not ship for a month and asked if I would wait. Foolishly, I answered "Yes". I then shopped elsewhere where I found it for 30% less than Amazon's price, so I bought it there. I then went to cancel the Amazon order (less than 3 hours after answering "yes" to the "will you wait?" notice) and was told that I could not cancel because the order had been sent to fulfillment. Amazon lowered its price the next day, but charged me the old price. Beware of this bunch; I don't trust them anymore -- and you shouldn't either.
Customer Review: the best digital storage devise I personaly have used Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the "extreme III" SD card to use with my new 12MP digital
camcorder/camera that accepts up to a 2GB SD card, and let me tell you my friend how easy, quick, and beautiful is the quality of the pictures and movies I get. I am able to video tape using my digital camera, storing the movie into this SD card as if it were one of those mini video tapes. then I take the SD card out of the slot inject it into my computer which has a NERO dvd burner and convert that movie/video I just recorded of my family clowning around or my daughter playing, and burn it onto a DVD and put it in my dvd player.. this SD card is great!
Customer Review: FAST! Summary: 5 Stars
Been using this for about three months. It reads and writes very fast. When I take a picture with my wifes 12 Meg Casio Exilim, it only takes about one to two seconds to save a 4.96 Meg photo.
This combined with the Sandisc Extreme reader is awesome. You can download the pictures very quickly!
It will hold 251, 12 Meg pictures. Plenty good for short trips. If you take a lot of photos with a high-res camera or a photog nut, you will need larger than a 2 Gig card. I haven't filled this one up yet and always have a laptop if I do.
I highly recommend this Extreme III and Sandisc products.
Customer Review: It works...but not necessarily with all card readers Summary: 5 Stars
I'm happy with the card. It was an excellent price. I'm using it in a 12.1 MP camera and wanted to be sure I had a card with a fast write speed. I've only had the card for a few weeks, so I can't attest to the card's longevity yet. But so far, so good.
The only thing you want to check is that your card reader will handle the extra capacity. I had to get the SanDisk Imagemate 12-1 (with a convenient docking port/stand and a short usb cord to take it mobile without the docking port) because my Belkin reader couldn't handle the 2 GB card, when ironically, my older Dazzle 4-in-1 reader could. Go figure.
Customer Review: Superfast and very secure! Summary: 5 Stars
The card cannot be read in some readers IF yours is old. One of my computers was from Gateway in 2004-5 and could not read it but the other card readers could read it or you can just buy a cheap USB 2.0 reader to hook it to the USB port.
What else can I say? Nothing, really. Before, I used to take my external HDD of palm pilot size that also stores the files from the card directly using its built-in reader. But now, I can go out without worrying about running out of the memory. And, I use 7.1m pixel camera for still/movie shots. Downloading is super fast. And, I am glad that I chose "Ultra" SD.
