Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer Titanium ( SDCZ7-2048-A10, Retail Package)Customer Review: Great Drive Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this drive to replace a Kingston Data Traveler that I found to be way too slow. I use my USB Drive for both storage of files, and to run Portable Applications. I initially copied my image over, and found the Portable Apps to be running very slow. I did some research and found that the small files written to the drive during the Portable App use is the main issue. Another hardware review suggested changing the file system to FAT from FAT32 to improve small file performance. I did it and wow - this drive screams now - very fast.
I also love the feel - the metal just feels nice. I would highly recommend this drive - if you run portable apps, reformat it to FAT - you'll be amazed at the speed increase.
Customer Review: SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer Titanium - EXCELLENT PRODUCT Summary: 5 Stars
SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer Titanium ( SDCZ7-2048-A10, Retail Package)
Extremely happy with timeliness of receipt, and effectiveness of product. On occasion, I receive an eject removal error, although the product was correctly ejected (closed all files open on disk before removing the drive). The space used on the disk for the U3 software should be invisibly added to the space size of the drive, not reduce the availability of drive size due to software use. Realistically it is not a true 2 GB size when the software on it only gives the user approx. 1.92 GB of usable space. The product itself is exactly what I needed.
Customer Review: looks classical and good functionality Summary: 5 Stars
the look of this flash drive is very classical. it is different from the photo here: the inside region is not flat but a little bit convex, and is of a darker titanium color. nevertheless, it looks quite awesome.
also, before you open up the package, because of the plastic packaging, the titanium looks like it has some wrinkle pattern. but after i opened up the package, that pattern is not there... so it is probably due to the plastic casing.
in terms of the drive installing some U3 launchpad small app on the computer, for me, it is not a big deal... and the transfer rate feels quite good. i like it so much that i actually ordered the 2GB one after getting the 1GB version.
Customer Review: My last "jump drive" Summary: 5 Stars
I had a small 512 Sandisk a while back, so when I saw a review for the Titanium 2GB Cruzer in a popular computer mag, I decided to upgrade from my Lexar 1GB. So far, I'm very impressed. Just did a 1.26GB transfer that took 140 seconds. I was a big leery of the included software, but was pleased to see that if I didn't care for it, it was easily removed. I have not had an issue with either the software or the drive, and am very impressed with the design of the retractable interface that requires pressure to expose or retract. This is a very good drive, and contrary to the negative comments, I would encourage anyone looking for a fast, stylish, practical jump drive to seriously conside the Titanium Cruzer.
Customer Review: U3 system - annoying Summary: 4 Stars
i love the titanium usb AS A MEMORY STICK and without the U3 system. the U3 system slows down the efficiency of accessing the memory stick because it takes a PC a long time to 'install' the U3 program...which is detrimental and annoying in my case because i use a different computer almost everyday...and also when time is of the essence. the U3 system also messes up a mac...in which the U3 is not compatible with a mac and it never ejects properly whenever i ask for the memory stick to eject. i therefore, and finally, erased the U3 system from the titanium cruzer using an uninstallation program i downloaded online and it just made my life 10x easier!
