Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 2 GB Class 2 SD Flash Memory Card SDSDB-2048-A11

Customer Review: Great card for a great price
Summary: 5 Stars

This card has performed well in my Palm TX. I was able to begin using it right out of the box with no problems at all. The speed is great for what I need it for (accessing data and running programs on the Palm). (I have no idea how fast it would be in a digital camera, where speed is more critical, but it does not seem to be a sluggish card). I have taken it in and out of my card reader many times, and transferred data to and from it many times without a problem for almost a month now.

SD makes high quality products, and this is no exception. This is a great card that Amazon is offering at a great price.

Customer Review: Works great for Nintendo Wii!
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is great and works as advertised. I use it for game storage on my Wii. The Wii recognized it instantly and I've never had an issue with it.

As for the 2GB size limit, I would NOT advise to try and get the 4GB high density cards, as your Wii will not recognize them without some level of hacking to the cards. That said, there's also no reason to hack a 4GB high density card to get it to work on your Wii. The space needed to save Wii games on your cards would probably never fill up a 2GB card. I have two 2GB cards and the second one has not been touched yet.

Hope tis review helps.

Customer Review: If you get an error message...
Summary: 3 Stars

I got an error 0x80070052 after copying about 180 image files over to this card, and I was unable to add any more files, even though there was plenty of available space. After too much frustration and research, I figured out that I needed to (1) format the card as FAT32 and (2) create a sub-folder and copy the files into it. Then I was able to successfully copy over almost 1000 files. (Actually, I'm not sure if both steps are necessary -- one or the other may be enough. But I did both.)

So, $20 for 2 gigs is a great deal, but SanDisk loses two stars for frustration. It shouldn't have been that hard.

Customer Review: Stores data, but...
Summary: 3 Stars

There seems to be an odd glitch with this card - it doesn't allow me to copy several sub-folders at a time from my PC to the card. After copying one subfolder, I'd get an error, something referring to an "invalid DOS command" (I'm using Windows XP), when it tried to copy the 2nd subfolder. If I popped the card out of my PC and then popped it back in, it would then copy the other subfolder, but again, only 1 at a time. So, I had to pop it in and out a bunch of times.

Other than that, though, it works great! Super speedy and nice and small. I'm using it with my Palm TX and am happy with it overall.

Customer Review: Durable, safe, quality SD card.
Summary: 4 Stars

I have never had any problems with SanDisk and their solid state drives, namely their SD cards. However, I must say comparing it to the SD HC cards these cards are slow!! But, I don't think it is a fault of SanDisk rather a problem with all SD cards. It is unfortunate that there are still products out their that are not compatible with SD HC cards because having to be burdened by speed, rather lack of speed, of these SD cards can make one go crazy. Regardless, this card is definitely reliable and you won't lose your data which is a definite plus and they are easy to use as they are plug and play.
