Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 2 GB Class 2 SD Flash Memory Card SDSDB-2048-A11Customer Review: Terrible! Card failed and we lost saved photos Summary: 1 Stars
I am very disappointed with this product. We used this card in our Kodak camera for about 2 years with no problems, then all of a sudden the card failed. We had taken about 50 photos during a trip, and reviewed them on the camera with no problem. When we got home and tried to view the photos on our computer, they were gone. However, photos from a previous trip remained on the camera. I have since read reports from others using this memory card that they have had the same problem. It appears that the card fails over time, and occasionally will delete or fail to store photos. We've been having problems with it ever since, and I'm going to throw it away and buy a different brand. I would not recommend this product if you care about keeping your photos safe.
Customer Review: Cheap 2 G SanDisk Summary: 5 Stars
We recently purchased a Canon Powershot SD750 (awesome point and shoot)and it comes with a SD card with as much memory as Sugar Ray Robinson so we needed a larger card. I purchased this 2.0 GB SanDisk card for so little I was sure it was going to show up with a name like "SaMDisk" instead of SanDisk and melt my new camera when I put it in. Not true. We've been using it for a month or so everyday and it works great. It does it's job which is to store a mass amount of images and not alter the quality - which it does beautifully. No complaints here, except that I was hoping that there would be one coded image already on the card which, if deciphered, would guide me to the crystal skull.
Customer Review: Wished for a case Summary: 3 Stars
The picture of the product in the Amazon page appeared to show that each SD card was in a plastic case. Unfortunately, that was not so; rather, there was a plastic liner in the cardboard holder, which I wound up cutting and taping over each card to protect it.
Although each SD card was inexpensively priced, it should not have cost much more to enclose each in a plastic "snap-case".
And the Shipping & Handling charge was a significant multiple of the product cost, which is quite surprising given the small size and weight of each SD card (with no reduction for a multiple-item purchase).
I wish that the product description had been more specific.
Customer Review: Works Flawlessly Summary: 5 Stars
I have used the SanDisk brand SD card for some time now. Have used 512K, 1G and the new 2G versions. All have performed flawlessly. Using in both computer and camera applications I have expereinced no problems. Even though I do not use the Ultra versions, the only time I have ever experienced an issue regarding speed is with my new Nikon DSLR in the burst mode. The camera will photo at 3 frames per second. After approximately 40-50 photos in continuous mode, the card will slow down but this is not a problem. The camera has sufficient internal memory that it just backs up in it and continues to download as it can. This has never caused me a problem. This is a great card. Enjoy it.
Customer Review: promotional free card reader offer lies... Summary: 1 Stars
When I purchased this product, the promotion said that when you bought a SanDisk product, they would send you a coupon so that you can get a free sanDisk card reader. I not only bought the 2GB card, I also bought a 4GB SanDisk card and NEVER received the info so I could get my free SanDisk card reader. I even went so far as to calling Amazon and complained about this and they said they would look into it within 24 to 48 hours and get back to me. I never heard from Amazon regarding the free SanDisk card reader I was entitled to received based on the promotion that Amazon was having during the time I purchased the 2 and 4 GB memory cards and a waterproof camera.
